Modifying second hand clothes is something I do a lot for my cosplays and something that I find helps a lot is taking a really watery paint and I just use my hands or a clothe to rub it into leather or vinyl to take away the shiny and make them look a bit more realistic

Great video as always guys, keep it up. Also I wanted to ask if maybe sometime in the near future you guys could do a video covering techniques for building a "big" costume, think Warhammer 40k Space Marine Armor or Reinhardt from Overwatch, Im a big guy, 6'6, and I can pull off something like that but I want it to look and function good.

A lot of the thrift stores near my area have worked out how many people use them for cosplay. During halloween they had people who specifically helped people pick out items for costumes. Like you walked in and said 'I wanna be a pirate for halloween' and they would help you find pirate appropriate clothing. It was really cool.

That was really cool to watch. I'm just getting into modifying clothing and just cosplaying something other than a mascot style creature suit so it's really neat to see what all can be done. I've found some neat things so far though. I've gotten a few belts from the early 90s that I put on a hat for a nice kind of voodoo witchdoctor-y feel. One I've been thinking of making into a collar for a African inspired design. I've also gotten a few suit jackets I've modded into tailcoats and a pillbox hat that I'd like to make a hat block out of since that was the main thing that appealed to me about it. I joked to my grandma that I had gotten her a new easter hat when I brought it home.

I find it interesting that you use clips instead of pins for with pins you can sew much closer to the foot without taking the pin out. You can't do that with the clips. Sewing closer to the foot being a beginner sewer would be helpful to create straighter lines

There are pros and cons to clips vs pins for sure. Clips are nice because you can work so quickly without fear of jabbing yourself.

i think there is something missing in this costume, you need to add some armor parts to the hand with the bracer cuz alone it looks a bit bulky and out of place, maybe some shoulder pads or an elbow guard or both (sorry if getting advices from ppl who knows almost nothing about prop making (me xD) annoys you because after all you are the professionals but i just have those ideas after watching your videos)
