it’s sort of a super advanced computer that’s able to predict exactly what events you have to alter in order to get the future you desire. Luna needs it pass the re-screening. Vonnegut needs it for his own nefarious plans (probably retaking the Tower) and Lamia wants it because she can finally have the future she wants with it

Not quite sure it's Gestalt, probably very close though. Gestalt knew about the events and calculated many different variables but couldn't ever come to what variables had to be changed to get a "perfect" ending. I don't know either though so we'll see when it comes to global.@@nemasisdemarini8339
