@@midgard9057 doesn’t matter if it’s her stance or regular deflect. You have to know what your opponent has in their toolkit and respond accordingly. In the case against warlord, you might have to read the follow up heavy and just deflect twice.

She should be able to dodge out if the deflect hit lands, but bounces off because of it not being considered a pin. Its more understandable for Glad since he does massive damage on bleed + wallsplat and skewer is his common moveset that rides with toe stabs

If there was some sort of random factor as to when someone gets hyperarmor then I would agree. The thing is though that we know exactly how warlord/raider/warmonger hyperarmor works so it's not like it's unfair. Most people are just so used to hitting the attack button and starting their deflect instead of realizing they're gonna get hit by chain hyperarmor are just straight up not using their brain. This is like being mad that a dodge attack doesn't break hyperarmor.

Its a ball kicker playing glad or Khatun when you get a deflect and they have hyperarmor, because you're stunlocked to do either 3 dmg for glad or 10 for Khatun. Hyperarmor should just give dmg resistance to deflects instead of completely nulling them imo

No they shouldn't, as a player you should learn matchups and know which heroes you can/can't safely use deflects on. Making them all counter hyper armor just lowers the skill floor/ceiling and doesn't punish bad players for not learning the game

Her deflect isn't useless against hyperarmor characters. Players just need to not follow through w the initial deflect and block/parry/deflect the opponent's chained hyperarmor heavy.

The timing is too tight. You could do it to the raider top heavy but not the side heavy for example. Its a complete counter unless they choose to not do the deflect input and dodge cancel out of the fear and fury

Zone input after the first pin is guaranteed and it has hyper armor. I prefer that over the second heavy input when fighting hyper armor heros especially in group fights.

Khatun is kind of put in the same position and shares the bad matchups with Nuxia simply because she needs to always enter her soft feints to get into her mix-up. Traps act as soft feints. Nuxia does have an upper hand with raw heavies in comparison. But it doesn't negate the fact that you're still making that offensive read out of the 33/33/33.

Dodge bash heroes are easier to beat if you feint them light them out of their bash attempt. Hyper armor can be beaten if you deflect into nothing then parry their follow up heavy attack. You literally have to be smart to be good with her and most people are hito mains at heart

Yeah there are plenty of heroes in general that can be a nightmare for assassins, it's really just whether or not the player is gonna stay monkey-brained. For instance, fighting against a warlord, you'd really think to maybe bash the hyper armor instead of deflect rushing yourself to death? Shoot, you could just deflect and then **parry** the heavy instead of doing the pin attack

I have always found for honor mix-up heroes difficult to react. I play music, and why do I say this? Because mix-ups with most heroes follow up a beat/half-beat method same as in music. Just gotta catch the rythm. The issue is, something feels majorly off for me in for honor mix-ups rythm. Like its both too fast, and slightly slower than expected. For khatun mix-ups seem to be the style, and i hope I finally get the pace of combat in this game. 440+ hours here and still majorly bad and get my butt handed.

Personally speaking, i feel as tho all assassins should get a buff where if u get a deflect, it can break through hyper armor and stop them from whatever move they were doing. After all, i should feel rewarded for doing a skillful play and not unga bunga out of it. That's my opinion, but we shall see if one day this changes.

I dont really play much of zerk or the other assassins, but i guess i just meant mostly orochi and glad, and i suppose the new lady, too. Its mostly my own opinion and experience ive had multiple times where i deflect a hyper armor hero and instead of i stop ur combo with my stab to ur bey with my trident, im instead met with a hard bonk to the head lol. Same with orochi, too, and for those that dont know, u can't just cancel deflect and go for another. Ur locked into the animation and can't escape unless the other person messes up their hyper armored attack, which nines times out of ten doesn't happen

Didn’t Gladiator’s pin used to get countered by HA and now doesn’t? I really don’t get why they would make Khatun’s deflect suffer from the same drawback, especially since Gladiator’s deflect pins for nearly as long and deals nearly as much damage. Plus, the deflect is a lot more essential to Khatun’s kit than Gladiator’s. She’s one of the most challenging heroes to play mechanically and then gets countered by a Shugoki or Warlord pressing the heavy button.
