BTD6 Odyssey || Hard Mode Tutorial || No Monkey Knowledge & No Hero (Slow and Steadys)

Custom Rounds! Maps 1, 4, and 5 of Hard replace round 1 with Rounds 1-80. Every other map are replaced with Rounds 1-60. Since there is no "end of round", there will be no end of round cash and each "round" will start as soon as the previous one ends. This also means there is no cash penalty for the later "rounds". This means you cannot "save scum" because it's every round in 1 and you'll just end up restarting. Be careful on #ouch as some bloons might spawn in an unusual lane since the lane order doesn't reset.

The most important thing to realize is the upside of not having "rounds". Because its always round 1 Engineer traps never get less valuable. Expect to see $1-2k regular traps from beginning to end and XXXL traps with $10-20k. Also, your spike factory spikes disappear very slowly. You end up having 2-3 "rounds" worth.

no rounds means all pops give $1 and there's no Freeplay scaling? it's extremely easy to farm with monkey village

@@vinesthemonkey I think I used the monkey village on one map, and it was nice, but it was a pretty big save-up so I skipped it afterwards. Traps + Rubber to Gold Alchemist and eventually XXXL trap were far more money than I needed. I think at one point I saved up for Super Mines in like 5-6 rounds.

If you want to use powers in this odyssey, Thrive and Energizer Totem are really powerful because theyre round-based, and with there only being 1 round you basically gets more cash permanently and the totem lasts forever. Corvus is a good hero but his soul harvest ability wont be available, however you can level him up by using Nourisment. Also fun fact, you do not consume power here because its 1 round, so you can use 1 thrive in the first map and it wont count that you used it.

Rubber to Gold is also extremely powerful. It triples the value of some bloons and since it's always round 1, it's tripling bloons which are already at the highest value. I had my setup done and knew it could easily run through round 80 of a normal game, so I stopped paying attention. When the victory screen popped up I noticed I had over $120k unspent.

Thanks Punji! Great tutorial as usual. I use tutorials like these to see what towers to pick because there's always that one map toward the end of the Odyssey that has a huge difficulty jump and getting screwed over due to not having good towers, powers, etc is painful. lol

"Smart" function is mostly noticeable in multi lanes, where the spike factory will put spikes on the lanes that has bloons first spawning on it. In the Ouch map, the bloons spawn on every lane regardless of turn, so we see the spikes being spread out pretty evenly on all the lanes it can reach. On maps where it's multi-lane but the bloon spawn takes turns (like Bazaar, Inferno, etc), the spike factory will put it on the lane with the spawns. So if round 2 the bloons spawn on 1st lane, the spike factory will put spikes on the 1st lane. But if on round 5 the bloons spawn on the 2nd lane, it will put spikes on the 2nd lane. In single lane maps, the smart function will put the spikes closest to the exit.

Trash tier game design. The final map is literally unbeatable with the default team setup, so I was forced to either waste my insta monkeys or restart and waste an hour of my time getting back to there. Why odyssies like this give the same amount of trophies as the normal ones is baffling to me when the difference in difficulty is apparent to anyone who's played both of them.

Ok no, i had no need to restart from.the begin, i was just playing wrong with what i have, this was the very first time i use 0-5-0 tack shooter, and because i bring 3 subs, i added a 2-5-0 sub that killed very fast the bfb, the infernal ring also do its job,
