Just wanted to make a small comment that Amazing Dragon checks not necessarily for PUNK tuners, but Level 3 Psychic Tuners. This includes Ghost Ogre, which can give you potentially 5 bounces if you find a way to either get it in the Graveyard or on the board.

been doing a lot of testing with this deck. this deck is reallllly slept on imo, it’s good at playing through interruptions and breaking boards. the only thing i dislike is that you have to hard draw the gold pride engine.

I love punk and I love that people saw the punk stuff and gold pride having potential synergy. Any chance of a video going 2nd? Like breaking a crazy negate board like a swordsoul board as an example

I can add it to the list for sure! I was tentatively waiting for the next set because right now you’re still just using punk to break boards and gold pride as follow up disruption after that. I think when we get the next wave of support is really when it can have a good showing!

Can I recommend a card? That's Vulcan the divine, generic lv 6 synchro. When you have a good hand you can make star Leon turn one and still have a free synchro during the opponent turn. Vulcan is great cause it can compulse an opponent card. Been testing it a bit, and it's a corner case card, but when it comes up it's really good

I'm trying to make myself this deck, and actually managed to lower my deck's total cards by listening to your explanations, and I also really liked the Ghostrick combo, I hadn't even thought of it! Still trying to make a good Extra deck myself though... so, since you're running a 40 card total, why not using the magic "The Crowd Goes Wild"? It's a starter if you don't get any useful PUNKs or if they somehow get negated (I know, the LP is cost so it won't matter) but it should help you complete the Gold Pride combo, right? Also, for the Extra, how about using Virtual World Kyubi Shenshen, and Hyper Psychic Riser as possible floodgates for turn 1?

I'm glad this helped! The spell card you're referencing is the gold pride searcher right? I don't think that's useful right now because you have to reveal a gold pride in your hand and even if you max out on all gold pride monsters, bumping your total to 9 in a 40 card deck in a 5 card hand, your chances of seeing at least one gold pride monster is less than 75% which just isn't good enough for me. When they get more monsters, I think it will be much better and maybe possible to run pure too.

@@YGOPD Yeah, the searcher, exactly! I was thinking the same, but if you power up the draw of the PUNK engine, the chances get bigger and more consistent. But of course the reasoning is solid. Also, considering Kashtira, wouldn't it be better to up Sharakusai and Madame Spider to two copies? Or at least Sharakusai since it's the main combo piece

Someone else asked this too. The problem is you have to reveal a gold pride monster as cost. With only 9 available, if you maxed out, it’s not worth it yet. If they get a couple more good monsters definitely!

The Ghostrick combo is nice but takes away many slots. Kashtira can interrupt i pretty easily. How about bumping up your one offs? How does the deck play against an established board and in game 3 when time is ticking?

Yeah I agree. Like I mentioned in the video it's meant to be more of a skeleton of options. I think ghostrick engine makes a lot of sense after kash comes and goes. In reality I would do exactly what you said and just bump the important slots to 2-3. How the deck plays into time hasn't changed. You're just trying to combo quickly to do enough damage. The easiest way is paying a ton, making psyhic end punisher, then swinging over for big damage since it's unaffected.

It really just depends on your build and your preference. The "best practice" is to search and thin your deck as much as possible from the PUNK/Gold Pride stuff before getting your extra two draws with the field spell so you have a higher chance of hitting hand traps or other disruptions.

Gonna do an updated profile soon with the new stuff. Before the new stuff yes because it requires you to already open a gold pride to reveal as cost. With the new stuff not as much. I still wouldn't play it since there are better options now.
