I have seen "X" a million times, as far back as when I was 14 & my big Sister would go up to L.A. & she would (reluctantly) let her 'little Bro' tag along to the all ages shows. BUT!!, I have never seen them at The Troubadour, and tomorrow,...that dream is gonna come true! Can't even wait!! All Hail "X"!

Aww, Dick Clark, he liked them a lot, you can tell. What a great guy and a super duper great band. My Punk+ Band X. Timeless and I want that energy back again, always.

I love X, but never got to see them live. Those who have seen their concerts are lucky. Tomorrow being the 4th of July, you know what I will be listening to before the fireworks!

Thrilled to discover this clip. Saw X so many times throughout my life I lost count. Their marriage of punk aesthetic, patriotism and pure L-O-V-E is one of those things that captures your attention when you're young and your heart as you age. And though we age, this music never gets old. Thanks for posting this.

If the city of Los Angeles could be personified in a single band, it would definitely be X. A very long list of great bands, musicians, and songwriters have emerged from the city of angels over the years and decades, too many to narrow it down to one single “greatest ever” band, but there’s no question that X has represented everything the city is about, warts and all. To me they *ARE* Los Angeles, like some Raymond Chandler novel come to life and put to music. Long may they reign.

Dick Clark slapping another man's hand away and teaching him how to properly hold and kiss a woman's hand is probably the most bizarre thing they ever had on "American Bandstand." 😂

I feel like a pint of Martini and Rossi on the rocks right now. It's downright upright to help me to relax whenever I'm feeling inside out and backwards. I invented punkrock ~ I invented aids ~ I invented everything darling ~ I'm the ace of spades ~ bury my heart at wounded knee~ I'll bury my fist in the face of the man~ his hopeless struggle has scoured my last nerve ~ besides he's a level three perve~ c'mon take a walk with me ~ it's time ~ the angels are calling for ~ more senseless crimes~ devil dolls wrapped up in bad dreams with broken arms ~ Sadie Mae cut their hearts out ~ back of the line.~ x12 fade out with a generic guitar scratching that you wish had never been born ♡

Honestly the internet is mostly used for garbage. Social media bullshit and people posting stupid fuck pictures of their spawn. However the fact you are able to find obscure clips of bands that heavily influenced rock and roll. It makes the internet redeemable.

So: (a) yeah - Dick Clark's thing w/ the audience member/kissing the hand was uber-creepy -- and (b) why in hell couldn't they get a light on Billy Zoom (guitarist) when he was playing and the camera was ON him - and he was in total darkness and impossible to see? Director-malpractice. >;-)

I can't believe she was in HEART. I heard that barracuda was about how she used to beat the piss out of, not only Jan and Fancy Wilstone but the other limp wristed synth players who were in that band. I think she has given everyone what they deserve. A HEART attack. Hahahahahaha
