Your theoretical analysis is spot on but you need to recognise that fish do not use the same logic that you and I do 17:30 "Would he call diamonds on a paired board". You're talking about a guy who limp called then donked for pot lmao, I'd bet my entire roll he ain't folding diamonds Having a theoretical approach is ofc very good, but please throw it out the window when your opponent is clearly a huge rec!

This series is my fav thing on youtube right now man. I love it! Just a note on the first hand, I agree its a fold pre. But your flop analysis seems a little skewed by his river play. He will 100% be cbetting range for that size OTF. Giving him a normal range of KJs/KQo and then the strong Ax and TT+, we cant fold flop. Seems like the clear value jam OTR made you think he is only cbetting flop with an A is all. Bean OB OTT on the T9s is a tad too small but I like it nonetheless, kind of the only size that makes sense. Bean played it perfectly IMO We need to raise flop with players behind in the AQ hand, you breezed past this like its a clear call. ATs vs 22 hand and the rest of that AQo hand are absolute beauts though The last is classic bean, Love it!!

I think the ATss hand is a punt Nick. In my opinion flop and turn sizings are bad. A) On flop if I m betting range I am going smallish multi-way since we wanna deny equity from marginal hands and give us a chance to catch up later by blocking the flop B)The board texture on the turn becomes scarier for our range so it doesn’t make sense to overbet C)After getting called on that humongous turn sizing we are slowing down even with overpairs since we are losing to almost every value hand and we can give the chance to villain to bluff with busted draws. We have so little value hands on the river that are happily shoving that it almost doesn’t make sense to do that in high frequency. I forgot to mention that on the turn we still have some showdown value against weaker draws giving us one more reason to either go smaller or even x/c PS about the last hand I think the As blocker is so irrelevant multi way. Hu poker and 4 way poker are almost 2 different games.
@eastyyy223 жыл бұрын
Yeah you make some good points, I was definitely feeling lenient for this one to keep Bean's morale up haha. he is currently going through a phase of never bluffing and I don't want to dishearten him! It's a fair assessment though. Regarding the last hand, I never say that I think the As is very relevant, I think I make a point of it being pretty useless here due to how flush heavy villain is.
@mattt33333 жыл бұрын
The T9s hand is actually played excellently imo, given the amount of value hands we have and the blockers to the nuts and rivered 2 pair. It's just a shame Bean was bluffing a donkey and not at least a remotely thinking player. Against most opponents this line will print. Great content, keep it up!

@FefeLeVrai3 жыл бұрын
Opponent is obviously a massive whale for flatting A3o in the sb, but I still think the line makes no sense for value. Let's say you have AA for top set. Are you really overbetting 2x pot on the river against a guy who can have JT? I think a solver would hate the play because you don't have the nut advantage on this board, your opponent does, so you shouldn't even have any overbets in this spot. From UTG you only open JT when it's suited, and with this bet size you're literally saying you have the nuts or nothing, so the line actually looks really bluffy, especially with the busted club draw on the board. I'd be tempted to call down this extremely suspicious line with any pair + blocker to the nuts hand like AT or AJ here.
@nicotheo1013 жыл бұрын
@@FefeLeVrai What would you think about betting like 50bb into 40 on that river then? That way we could feasibly do that with sets or AK given he very rarely has JT. I think that makes more sense than a 2x pot jam, which seems more to be saying "don't call me" given how few strong hands he will have in that spot (and also is basically only repping one hand for value).

Nick, what do you think if on the second hand T9s we will cbet 125% of pot. We have a huge advantage on this board. On the turn we can bet 3/4 and all in river. This board is such good for our range. We block a beat street and don’t block spades

Fun hands. AT is a fold, preflop is extremely standard though - Remember we want to call as if we fold we lose -1100bb/100, calling will perform better, even though it will still be very marginal (and depend on your skill). T9s is a good bluff. No punt for me. 87s vs the flop donk is marginal, it can be called if you are prepared to bluff this spot, if you don't plan to bluff then you should muck on the flop. I think River is a good bluff, but I am not a fan of the Turn sizing, I'd prefer a smaller sizing OTT, leave more of range to fold OTR, so it's slightly more profitable. You tried to put a Fish who limp calls preflop for 7bb, donks flop and check/calls Turn on a range - That is a mistake, you have no idea what their strategy, they could be value betting 4th pair OTF, bluffing air or they could have the nut straight, we have no idea. ATs hand I think we got to give up OTR, I don't know if villain is a Fish but I just don't see him folding OTR with any value vs 2 FD bricking vs two bets MW,, the bluff could maybe make him fold his own FDs, but that is about it, I don't think for pot size bet he has enough draw combos to justify the bluff. Take the tiny amount of showdown value. AQo hand is weirdest hand I seen for a while, I would raise the flop try to isolate the Fish personally, but I think as played this is a Fold, multi-way flop, calling behind a check/raise on an A-T texture OTF and OTT. 3-2 to Punts I think. Bonus special hand is a punt, always build the pot with big value when deep. River is also kind of thin, he might have some Sets for this sizing, but not as bad as not raising flop.
@eastyyy223 жыл бұрын
Interesting thoughts on 87, it feels like an easy fold OTF to me but I understand your reasoning of using this to bluff later after calling. Smaller size OTT makes a lot of sense as well for the reasons you say. As you say, he is a fish and we are making a few assumptions regardless. I do still think they will have certain things and not others but in a looser sense. I generally don't like bluffing random fish anyway! ATs yeah giving up seems good and this was a bit lenient from me! AQ raise flop seems good in hindsight I agree. Definitely a fold OTR though. 3-2 seems fair to me! Bonus hand wasn't really up for debate to be honest haha. River 'kind of thin' is super generous!
@HildrethPoker3 жыл бұрын
@@eastyyy22 For the last hand I mean it's thin, but when you double check OOP in that spot, you never have Flushes or any good value, so you are rather capped, so he can pick large sizings like OB or pot with more marginal holdings like 2pairs/sets opposed to just flushes. So whilst it is thin and I don't expect it to be called by worse often (only 66s or some kind of As blocker), it isn't actually the worst I ever seen. I think it is overbluffed because people will not use a balanced strategy here with hands like that, but will bluff a ton. So if he uses that pot sizing, he can actually bluff a lot of his range, 1/3 of his bets should be bluffs. I think every non-showdown hand (remember he never faced a bet IP so he has 100% of his range here that defended pre COvsSB, even 3rd pairs can bet IP because they want to protect vs overcards) can be bluffed here, but barely has any flushes in his line, so if he puts some more thin value bets into this range he can balance it a lot better. The only reason I think it's overbluffed is I think still some FDs will barrel the Turn, and there aren't a huge number of combos here, 10? If he has 6+ bluffs, he is unbalanced so bluffcatchers are all +ev. And that is my logic on the hand. That's why it's thin, as he can have every KQ, QJ, JT, KJ, QT, KT, K9 heck 65s as a bluff here, so in order to be balanced so you can't just call every bluffcatcher OTR he has to have some weaker value bets, or just control frequencies. But that is a capped range spot for OOP so can be attacked. Though the specific texture isn't good for it because OOP has a number of good bluff catchers. Only problem with the 99s is very few worse will call OTR, like 66s maybe trapped 88s OTT. And that's why it is thin. In my view. I doubt that guy is thinking like this. But he should be attacking the capped range with big sizings.

@Felix2010w2 жыл бұрын
The second AT analysis on the river I don't think is very good. You're trying to bluff missed diamonds, most of which you beat at showdown anyway? People at 16nl aren't going to fold overpairs as often as they should. And you have so little for value here (probably only the few combos of 66 and 88) that if you're doing this with every bdfd, implying that you're doing it with every fd too, you're just waaaaaaaayy overbluffing this. Like, by a factor of 30 or more. Plus, the flop bet itself is just completely wrong. This is a massive punt.
