Reminds me of the time I called down 600bb with QT on a Q high board against a total maniac expecting to see 72o, and took it down when he showed Q7 for an even worse queen.

Another good vid although I disagree with you abit more than the last one (shocker right xD) T7s 2:00 - We need to raise turn bigger because people love calling the turn raise and folding OTR, so get the value now. River I don't think is a punt at all. 50bb to win 225bb, basically need like 18% so not the worst call. Vs micro pools though yeah just get rid of it, they aren't raising 78s or 79s in this spot ever. A misplay not a punt IMO. QQ - 5:30 - We can block turn at like 1/4 pot if we want to avoid a bet OTR so long a we think villain is the type to call JT or QJ or JJ/TT OTT. But yeah B-X-X is the best line imo and could maybe bomb some rivers exploitatively to get him off of KJ but quite a simple line is best like you say. River jam is fine on that card as I think our A5 actually takes this line a bunch as well as our AQ,AK (again why I like blocking turn as A5 would be a great hand to do that with.) but again feels un necessary. TT - 10:00 - Seems like a shitreg thing to do from the BB. Probs like AQ,JJ,TT,99,88,KQs,QJs and sometimes even AA. Again I dont think this is a punt. Your talk about AKs isnt really relevant as even nits will 4bet pre OOP his bluffs are mainly KQ with FD and if we are lucky, 99/88 to deny equity to AK and thats about it. Really tough spot at the higher stakes for sure, at micros..... this just feels like AA that a fish trapped. Shitty spot. A fold but I dont blame ste for calling. KQs 16:00 - 4bet pre all day in this spot, if SB is a reg his 3bet range here should be like 15% or higher. A with a player behind who is gonna call alot, we dont wanna play OOP. Our hand has good equity and blocks his Jams. If we were 100bb deep here a jam would honestly not be that bad but this deep, like 2.5x the 3bet seems good. Absolute print spot, most regs at the micros know they should be squeezing here a shit tonne but have no idea how to defend vs 4bets. KQo is slightly better as we have less equity when we call so raising becomes more profitable. Hahaha his turn play, this is just the nut straight right or AA right? Yeah this is alot more punty. Love it Ste seems to have fallen in the trap of calling on every street so much it hurts. Get some aggression preflop and think through ranges my guy ;) Great stuff matey, see ya next time :)

Hey buddy! I'd have started to feel very uncomfortable if you agreed again haha. T7s: Turn raise bigger seems very reasonable but I do think river is a punt. You're right we need 18% and it shouldn't be a punt, but it's definitely a micros punt for me. I can't imagine a world where we are good 18% of the time here. QQ: Turn block is better than the size we use but yes as you say, still prefer check! As played we agree that he has to go for it OTR. TT: I really don't think AK is out of the question by any means from what I've seen but I do take your point. Again just feels like a spot we aren't going to be winning enough OTT hence my punt judgement. Should be able to call here sometimes but I'm just not convinced. Maybe punt is harsh. KQs: I like 4b in hindsight due to how badly pool with play vs it to be honest, but as you said would rather have KQo. As played it's a Punt of the Year award worthy punt. Got some very Hurley friendly content on the way. See you on stream soon!

Got to disagree with the QQ hand, I think you were spot on originally when you said clear check. Just because we have a range advantage doesn't mean we want to bet hands that don't benefit from betting. I see no merit to the turn bet tbh. Doesn't seem a very good bluff OTR either in my opinion.
@eastyyy223 жыл бұрын
Think you might misinterpret me here, I definitely think this is a check. As we don't check, I begin to talk about the merits of betting as a thought experiment but I don't like it. If we bet the turn, I think we have to bluff river. We are never ever good here and we do have some decent blockers to his popular call downs. Having said that, let's just avoid the spot altogether by checking turn!
@connormawer67753 жыл бұрын
can almost block QQ on turn for value how can he turn into a bluff lmao
@connormawer67753 жыл бұрын
on the flop villain has to call 66-JJ to the small sizing. its a huge punt betting turn for that sizing still beat all those hands
