Punta Prima April 2023

A walk around the little town of Punta Prima. The beach has the fine white sands and was known as “sandy bay” during the British occupation. There are still fishermen’s huts along the front. Across from the beach is the Illa de L'aire which is now a marine reserve and a place where there are great diving places to go. On the East side there is a path, which leads to Cala d’Alcalfar and follows the historical “Camí de Cavalls” (Horse way) which goes around the island. There is a beautiful view from the Torre d'alcaufar which is S far as we got today as it's still hot for the dogs. The tower was built by Spanish engineers, between 1786 and 1787. It was restored in 1994 but all closed up. Lovely views of Alcalfaur from up there.

We’re Chris, Cat and Rolo our chocolate labrador. We live full time in our self-converted 7.5 tonne DAF LF 45 Lorry traveling around Europe. We've traveled in motorhomes for over 15 years all over Europe and I cat lived in a motorhome in NZ traveling over 25 years ago with my girls then aged 3 months and 3 years old. Motorhoming and traveling are not new to us it been a way of life for many years but we decided life is too short and we wanted to live a simpler life and go full time. We downsized from a 4 bedroom family home to buy our 7.5-tonne lorry and spent two years converting our lorry to become our tiny home on wheels. it was a gruelling and hard slog building our own tiny home on wheels but worth it in the end, as we have our own unique home to travel with on wheels.
We moved into Florry The Lorry at the end of February 2018 and have since been touring around Europe. We love our SMALL home, BIG adventures and will continue to have many adventures and life in Florry wherever that may be. Stay Safe. Hugs, Cat, Chris & Rolo (FLorry The Lorry)

It's our home base . They've had lots of problems with motorhomes there recently. We are lucky we have lots of private land we can stay on and restauranteurs who have car parks too. Our Menorcan friend who is also full time vanlifer and works there got fined 1000 because she was parked on Costa land. They are sadly clamping down because they got too many this summer. Be careful as most the land near the beach is costa land . Punta prima and the middle of the island es mercadal is the only official places motorhomes can stay and only 48 hours. I am beyond excited, will be there on Sat 6th May for 2 weeks. Check-in at Comitas - chill eat & drink, Sun - chill / Cafe Royal & Santi's and then it's time to hit Sant Luis eateries and Club Menorca / Bar Camacho. The Fermin used to be run by Jose but he now or did 4yrs ago work with his brother at The Faro.

Hi what length is the box on your lorry. I’m thinking of doing one like yours. I have a Xlwb transit we converted few years ago. (@mabletheminibus ) but looking to go bigger. Many thanks Dean.

The length of the box is 6m and in total we are 8m long with the cab. Good luck and remember a lorry conversion is really different to a van. You have loads of space under the lorry to fit big water tanks and lpg tanks so don't need to have small ones. Water is always the first thing needing to be topped up 🙏🚛👍🐾
