I'm really digging the lyrics on Morbid Stuff, they're amazing relatable but not at all self-centered or "look at me, i'm sad, i'm struggling, my suffering is something worth of your time". It's about how we get used to feeling down and kind of start liking it and fetishizing it. Lyrics like "Just cause you're sad again it doesnt' make you're special" or "I've been having some prett dark thoughts and i like them a lot" in "Free at Last" and "Scorpion Hill" respectively hit hard on the subject, but Full Blown Meltdown really destroys the idea of the tortured artist as something to be admired. It's amazing. It's a message that our time needs so much

I always love it when they do interviews. Their music means a lot to me, I've been growing up with it for the past 4 years. Their new album is giving them the recognition they deserve, I'm proud of them. Can't wait to see them on tour one day!

Stefan is one of my favourite lyricists working today. This album and also The Dream is Over have helped me so much with relationship/break up problems. His way with words is phenomenal and he has so much personality. I think this band will be really popular if they ever get pushed to a wider audience, they're amazing.

Pup has been my favourite band as of 2016. This has been the most relatble record I've heard in the last few years. These dudes are killing the scene.

In an age when people don't really put so much effort or even bother with music videos so much anymore, it is so refreshing to see PUP making amazing and original music videos frequently. The video for Kids is so damn good! Loved this interview by the way. Great questions and equally great responses.

It's exactly the bluntness of their approach to topics like relationships, success, and self-loathing that gives them that mass appeal. I love heavy music but these guys are special to me because they cut to the core of the human experience.

I was really disappointed to hear that these guys were all nihilists, but they're entitled to choose that dead end road, even if it is just dead weight and shallow and foolish and doesn't really empower them or others in any way. The band's name is really fitting now. They're so gifted.

I live Stefan, but I think he needs to get the surgery and just take a year off. I’m pretty sure all the fans would rather him be gone for a year and then be able to perform for a very long time, than keep going and ruin your voice in 3-5 years. I don’t want what happened to Liam Gallagher to happen to him. Liam has recovered now but there was a period in time (2004-2013) where he couldn’t sing at all. I just would hate to see it happen to one of my favorite bands.

On the topic of mental illness being marketable and glorified, it affects many of the "sadboi" bands you see in the scene today. Look at Joe Taylor writing half an album of music about how much he hates how he's become a slave to the records and something he loved.

Stefan's head is turned to the side for most of this video. It makes my neck hurt just looking at it haha.
