😍I love dachshunds. My dachshund corn dog just gave birth the day before yesterday to 8 beautiful babies. I’ve welped many many many litters of all different breeds. I’ve welped my own dachshund litters and then just about any breed from the rescue that sends me their pregnant females. Lots of pitbul litters, mastiffs, Huskys, small mutts, big mutts, st Bernard’s, ect. This litter has shocked me the most. Mama dog is on top of things. She’s outstanding and picks up her babies and moved them around and keeps them in a pile or near her tummy. She does not let them wander off. She does not even want my help. And in one day 3 of the 10oz pups gained an ounce and a half. All others gained about an ounce. I’m absolutely shocked by her. Birth was a little hard and I had to help her but after that she’s taken it all over. This has by far been the easiest litter ever. I’m getting full nights of rest and still doing stuff during the day and all pups are doing amazing

So informative I would be lost without you two! I called last week about my Order and y’all fed ex it & got it right over. Meant to give you a call back. You were worried it was way too soon for her to be in labor and it was. Vet said she might just be tricky and was trying to have her babies Bc she was over it already. (She is a diva) He didn’t know why her temp dropped. But she finished her last week off and we are going in tomorrow morning for c section if she is ready after all. Watched this vid to make sure I have it all written and planned out. Thank you both so much. You truly care for customers and our Frenchie babies. I told my husband omg I can’t believe he answered & it’s him, they really will respond and answer any questions and are so caring! LOL I was like awww :)

Love the heated whelping system, works just like it says. Only downside I’ve noticed is it gives puppies zero traction. Mom bunches up the towel into a nest, and they’re on the plastic pan. No real way to put anything down for traction where heat will come through.

I agree....🤗 The pellets litter box is working great..as long as the pellets are on the bottom or under the green grill... I have been using the XL breeze litter box system with a cat box liner.. then I put the pellets under the green grill part/pour right into the cat box litter/ with an pee pad on top of green grill(cut into haft size) and it's easy clean up and smell good, too. It last for while if you check it daily.....and it's much easier to clean! 😉Psss someone say to use the rabbit green pellets first then switch to pine??🤔 I'm going to trying that next so (if they do eat it.. it won't hurt them!🤗

I wanted to ask you guys a question, once you have momma and her new born puppies in with her for the first time, do you have momma locked in with her puppies and only let her out to pee and poop and eat? Or is the cage open always?

Hello from Canada! I was just wondering about colostrum for newborn babies. My chihuahua is due to give birth next months to two puppies, I want to make sure I’m prepared for the births and was wondering if goat colostrum would work for the newborns? We own goats and I’ve saved goat colostrum milk that I used for my baby goats if my momma goat hasn’t dropped her milk. As well I’d like to know if goat’s milk is good to use instead of a puppy milk replacer? I have goats kidding right now and can milk my girls to save before my puppies are here.

I used this type of kennel before reverting to the larger whelping boxes after my Mama squished (killed) a puppy. I know you said it was only for the first few days. Do you ever do the ENS with the Puppies (Early Neurological Stimulation)? I find this really helps with the Potty and Crate Training. Thank you for the suggestions.

My dam went into heat on 4.1 was AI on 4.11 and still bled for ten days. The reason I AI her on 4.11 and 4.12 was because on 4.10 her progestrone was at 11. So we AI the next day. Now I know she probably aborted the puppies or something but I'm wondering what I did wrong. My girl is in good shape. Eating. Playing. Drinking so I'm happy shes ok. Was extra bleeding normal after AI? Do I AI too early? Could she still be pregnant? And if so when should I check again?

Yes probably pregnant

I suggest using a heat lamp anyways because when they do fall off the mom they get cold if they don’t have the strength to make it to the heat tape, game over; Lost a puppy this way
@LoveMyPups3 жыл бұрын
If you have a puppy that can’t travel 12” to the heat you have much bigger problems I personally hate heat lamps I went on a quest 6 Years ago to get away from heat lamps because of the problems with burning puppies and heating mom up and came up with a solution that I have now patented I’ve got well over 1000 people using it get one for your mum you should try it out
@NoahBuddyIsReal3 жыл бұрын
We have purchased your heated whelping system as well as the incubator. Perhaps it was a matter of Darwinism or neglect on the mothers end. Nonetheless, somehow the puppy got cold in a very short period of time. My wife said the puppy fell asleep shortly after feeding and didn’t make it to the tape. In a perfect world, universal solutions exist. If we do not use a heat lamp in the future perhaps the heated tape can be modified to a slightly wider width so that it can cover a little more surface area. We still appreciate your ingenuity. Thank you
