This has been absolutely one of my favorite series Buzzfeed has put out. It's great to educate people not only about service dogs and why they're so important (cuz people don't get it, not always). And it's great to let us see just how much effort, time, patience, and care goes into their training. And all in the simple name of making someone's life just that little bit easier or maybe even world's better. It's an amazing thing people like the trainers at Doggie Do Good do, and I'm forever thankful to them and people like them for being just one spot of pure and utter good in this world. And thank you Buzzfeed for taking the time and to educate on it in a way that was respectful, informative, and so very fun. Just overall brilliant.

While I've been told I qualify for a service dog (PTSD, among other things), I have opted to start with just an ESA and see how that goes. My anxiety is the worst when I first wake up anyway. I believe an ESA may be enough for me. I work in grocery stores anyway, and feel very apprehensive about the idea of having a dog with me anyway because of my commuting around to grocery stores. @@shaneluke346 it seems to be a miscellaneous service dog training school. They were pretty much customizing it for each dog, such as training Damien to support someone who needs him for mobility and the little Yorkie is probably a diabetes dog and the most important thing for him was to want to be held as well as being able to adapt to surroundings and be obedient. If the little Yorkie is a diabetes dog, they might have had Medical personal trainers training him on the side for how to sense any emergencies relating to diabetes. And then, whatever the other dogs were meant to do for service. You should watch the other episodes, they were a lot of fun to watch. If anything, I regretted that this was all there was.

Plus it takes around 2 years to train a service dog. They're only 8 months old. Damian is a mobility service dog. In order for a service dog to do mobility, they have to be atleast 2 years old and have their joints x-rayed to determine if they are strong enough to be able to brace and pull their handler. The narrator makes it seem like Damian is just a slow learner smh

I’ve had my service dog for around 6 months. I couldn’t imagine life without him. I first started watching this series without my dog. Now as I rewatch this, my service dog is by my side. I just wrote a “critique” discussion post for school about how this series was great but they failed to define service dogs, or tasks, or go over the ADA… and how they allow Mr. Pip to act just because he is small and cute is NOT that of a service dog, even in training.
