We don’t need to look beyond Indian epics for riveting, complex stories of good versus evil, superheroes and demons, darkness and dawn. In Kalki 2898 AD, director Nag Ashwin attempts an unusual meeting point of the past and the future by blending stories from the Mahabharata with a futuristic, dystopian science fiction world. He underlines that heroes are not born, but rise. The masterstroke lies in casting the indefatigable Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwatthama, the oldest human alive from the Kurukshetra war, and making him the backbone of the narrative. He is pitted against Bhairava (Prabhas), to set the stage for the arrival of Kalki, the final avatar of Vishnu. The film takes giant leaps of faith and has awe-inducing segments. This is Bharadwaj, It's Really a Great and wonderful experience, One new genre introduced which is "MYTHO SCIFI". Everyone should watch this. It took a little bit of time to understand and digest the initial stage of the movie as that is purely showing the future like unified currency and where the common people are using very advanced technology on finger tips and space ships etc. So very nice and happy to See this kind of blend of mythology and sci-fiction.

I have seen the movie. It's a must watch it mixes Sci-fi, mythology and state of the art graphics. There is an AI bot Bujji. Fully packed with cameos from top actors, directors. It may be a beginning of new era making India movies Pan World. This movie can go Pan World as well. It got everything that is needed, backed by strong story from Indian mythology making it an attractive movie on Western countries as they know very less about Indian mythology.
