Matara Pani Recipe ( Odia ) : It is one of the very famous and healthy street food in Puri, Odisha. Which is prepared with Yellow peas ( Matara / Matar ) , but no potato, no oil are used in it. The boiled peas served with tangy and spicy tamarind water. Roasted cumin powder, lemon juice which makes this soup more aromatic and falvourful . This quick and super delicious Matara pani is also called as Matar Soup as it is served thin like soup consistency . Ingredients :
1. Yellow Peas ( Matar / Matara ) - 4 palmful ( or 1 bowl )
2. Water - 4 bowl ( or as required )
3. Tamarind ( Tentuli ) - ( 5-6 pcs ) or as required , Instead of it use Sun dried Mango ( Ambula )
4. Fresh Chopped Coriander leaves
5. Chopped Green Chilli - 3 nos. ( or as required )
6. Roasted Cumin powder - 1/2 tbsp (or as required )
7. Red Chilli Flakes - 1/2 tbsp ( Optional )
8. Black Salt
9. White Salt
10. Lemon juice - 1 tbsp ( or as required )
11. Chopped Onion
12. Chopped Tomato
13. Chopped Cucumber

Wow Puri famous street food Matar Soup recipe was looking absolutely very fabulous. The soup was very thin in consistency, and all ingredients such as (Tamarind, red chilli flakes, chopped green chillies, roasted cumin powder, chopped coriander leaves, and lemon juice) make this soup very tangy, very spicy, and very aromatic in flavor. I think it's taste is very delicious. At the end you have served this recipe white color serving bowl, and garnishing with chopped onions, chopped cucumbers, chopped tomatoes, some red chilli flakes, some chopped green chilies, some roasted cumin powder, and some chopped coriander leaves. Which was looking very colorful, and very attractive. Very nice concept, and your presentation was really superb.
