Sam... I'm becoming a big fan of your plugs. Seems I buy them all the first day they come out. I downloaded the demo, fully expecting to take my time with it. (Do I really need another reverb/ambience type plug?) Anyway... loaded up an instance of BFD3 and a relatively dry kit preset and then ran it through this plug-in though a few of the presets and... well... TAKE MY MONEY! Purchased. Nice job, best friend!

hi guys, i like the look and the description of the plugin, one thing i'd like to know - is the signal recorded clean, or saturated through coloring preamps, consoles, tape, etc.?
@Purafied Жыл бұрын
That's a great question and point I should have made! They are a totally clean signal. No eq or compression added. Mic, Preamp - IR. 🐼💜
@Tryggvasson Жыл бұрын
@@Purafied i'm glad to hear. i have the tr5 rooms, and they're great in terms of controls and design, interface, the rooms sound good, but i can't use them because, instead of giving you the room, they saturate - so you have a clean dry, and a saturated wet, which is a concept i never understood. i pass the tracks through analog style processing myself, so the room gets overcooked and muddy. not to mention that the room effect becomes input gain dependent, so every volume variation you have upchain is gonna change the room sound, which is a nightmare to tweak. plus, not having auto-gain means disabling everything down chain, to adjust the in, then re-enable, and tweak the out volume into the next stage. clean room is the way to go - meaning just the room, and not the "legendary signal path". then you can add the legendary signal path yourself, as whichever variation, without having to rely on their (separately unusable) choices either. so the clean signal and the auto-gain are good thinking. i'm gonna give it a try.
@Tryggvasson Жыл бұрын
@@Purafied you've got one bug that i found in the demo, namely even if the microphones are muted, they still count towards the gain compensated output, so any microphone you audition is gonna be a lot lower in volume, even if it's soloed, as long as the slider of any other mic (be it muted) is up. this way you can't compare mics without turning everything other microphone down, then turn the current one down, raise another. basically that makes the solo/mute feature impossible to use when auditioning among microphones. this would be nice to be fixed.
@Purafied Жыл бұрын
@@Tryggvasson This is resolved by turning off the auto gain.
@Tryggvasson Жыл бұрын
@@Purafied why implement auto gain, then, if you can't use it? that was one of the best features. i don't get the logic behind signal from muted microphones - either muted explicitly, or not soloed - which you can't hear anyway - counting towards the output signal. i think that should be corrected

Why do some rooms sound unbalanced in these examples ? 🤔
@Purafied Жыл бұрын
They all respond differently. Different sustains and decay. Although the transient peak is all normalized. The nature of the natural compression and decay of each mic and each room varies significantly.

@@eddrupz1805 Oops! My bad, Captain Obvious! Your astute observation has left me in stitches. It's truly a comedy of errors on my part to overlook such a glaringly obvious fact. If we could only find a plugin that simulates the sound of ambience and reflections without actually having any ambience or reflections, we'd have a true technological marvel on our hands! Maybe we can call it the "Ambi-silencer" or the "Echo-less Echo." I can already hear the sound engineers scratching their heads in confusion. Thanks for pointing out my hilariously dumb oversight, oh wise one!
