Thank you. Yours is one of the videos about the plugin that is actually made with a good understanding and passion behind it. A few useful hints for Instacomposer 2 for anybody interested: 1. Drum map is based on standard GM mapping. 2. You can right click on any chord to show it on the chord helper section. 3. Pre Gen Mod controls, does not effect already generated tracks. 4. You can drag anywhere on the track (long section with MIDI) and dont always have to use the drag icon. 5. Remember to generate a new chord progression and MIDI output when you change the scale. Otherwise you'll get wrong notes because of the mismatch. 6. Just like here spend some time to set inspiring instruments first. A cheap out pf place sound will make anything sound terrible. 7. Send any bug reports and feature requests to the developers so they can improve it in the next versions.

I would like to see these types of products build some country, rock or ballad types of sounds. It seems these plugins are always doing ambient type electronic music that doesn't really go anywhere or resolve. These types of demos just can't really incorporate lyrical vocals. Lets see someone do music with these plugins and add the vocals to go with it..

A very democratic demo of two great systems for rapid creation of music. I certainly both use Scaler and IC ..it’s not a competition ….it’s perhaps a complimentary thing ..both environments have their own marvellous Usp’s …we are so lucky…my motto blowing in the wind is grow together 🙏🏿🙏✨👍

Just got the update. Using it in FL Studio is workable. Setting up a template to use for song starters is the way to go. Drag and drop is doable but not as intuitive as AbleNot. Swings and roundabouts. Love Scaler and Instacomposer.

I just want to agree and concur with that appreciation. W.A Productions know how to treat their loyal customers. Makes me confident to purchase new tools from them. I saw the IC2 announcement video pop up in my youtube feed and before it was finished playing, i had already purchased the upgrade. I’m having a skinny budget for this week but I could afford it anyway. Intro price discount appreciated indeed.

For me it is a technique with potential that should be exploited to the maximum for those moments where you need a starting point in the melodic composition, for those moments where inspiration does not come or you are in a creative block.
@TerenceKearns Жыл бұрын
I agree that for generative AI, the future is structural. Generate 3D meshes instead of pixels (there’s a new project for that). Generate midi instead of audio. I don’t think IC2 uses a Large Language Model approach but there’s no rule saying that AI needs to. However, once they do go that route, things will get very interesting if people can drop in their own genre based models. Musicians can even train a model on their own unique style and use generative AI to 100x their productivity.

Well, that would be way greater if InstaComposer could accept MIDI import of chords, because rewriting those chords into it from Scaler is not something I like to do, reason why I mostly use Scaler only ... and that's kind of sad because InstaComposer make indeed great proposals when already configured with the right chords
@pelennorDSP Жыл бұрын
Yeah that is kind of frustrating. You could do it the other way around though, generate the chord progression within InstaComposer and MIDI listen to it within Scaler to capture it

@@desoconnor7445 Oh I agree it should be possible. Even if instacomposer were to add an import chord midi function that simply set the chord progression. That would be fine for interoperability and also relatively easy to code. Plus you could use it among with those free huge midi chord packs then.

InstaComposer 2 has a problem with sounding the same even if you "randomize". It seems to have a group of 50 different settings per "track" and after a while you can see the same patterns repeat themselves even if your using randomization! I think InstaComposer is just a bunch of presets. It was a waste of money.
@rockr8840 Жыл бұрын
I would just take the idea created from instacomposer as a starting point only.. not totally dependent on such a plugin..

Another great tutorial Josh. Would be great if you could teleport chord progressions between plugins but I’ll take it. Love both of these plugins. Scaler 2 is still my all time reigning champion midi and composition plugin. I can’t believe how accessible all this stuff is. What a time to be alive!

Some have said that Insta contains about 50 preset patterns and they repeat after that. Do you think thats accurate? If true, there is no infinite generation of results with the randomizer. Please let me know.

So what sold me, was the dorian mode function on the melody part, since i dont think there is a single generator that goes further than the "normal" scales, even though scaler has the riff and ostinato function. Theres some complaints, about the generator part on the scale, but if you can use scaler for that and import it, its a deal.

If you have already done a video on the routing within FL Studio them please include the links so we may refer to them later. There are old guys like me that get easily confused. Other than that I'm loving both plugins!

Unfortunately, I don't have FL Studio on my computer. Are you looking to route InstaComposer? The manual has routing for most major DAWs, you might check there. Let me know :) - JC
@rickard.eriksson Жыл бұрын
You can route a single midi in fl studio, which means, if you are thinking about doing a concerto, it wont apply since there is no divisi, each section has to be routed into a single midi. However if you are just going with a plain piano, then it works.
