Very much enjoyed listening to this! I didn't think there would be any recordings on this organ on KZbin, so I did a bit of a double take when it popped up in my recommendations! I spent many happy hours practising on this instrument during my time at King's, although the instrument sounds like it's in better health here than it is now, unfortunately... Thanks!

Ah, I only just came across your comment. Listening to one's old recordings is quite embarrassing... So you went to King's as well? I'm glad the St Augustine organ is still (somewhat) functioning, seeing how it was only used for lessons when I was there and not really anything else.

@@JonathanYip Hi. Yes - I left last year. It's a little worse for wear now, mostly due to them never turning the heating off, but yes, it's still around. My overriding memory of it, was that it was always a bit like practising in the middle of a sauna, what with the heating and that light above the console... A large amount of the pedal Bourdon had gone off speech and the swell reed was never in tune, but it was still useful for practice. They almost never used it for lessons during my time, though - virtually all of mine were on the slightly nasty digital organs they acquired for the music department (a 3 manual Viscount and a 2 manual Roland, the latter being far better and the one I had most of my lessons on).
