Purdue Coach Ryan Walters Fired || What is next for Walters and Purdue

Purdue is a tough spot for a first time HC. Would have been best had they grabbed a good Group of 5 HC to take it last time. And, Walters probably should have waited for a Big12 job for his first HC job. WV is open, but seriously doubt he'll get consideration again anytime soon.

Purdue needs someone who can recruit AND develop talent, so they can go after those diamonds in the rough, the way so many non-Oregon, non-Ohio State, Non -Michigan teams have to do in the boonies like West Lafayette. Brohm was ok at it, but he didn't leave Walters with a pot of gold, maybe even some lead, which may be why he decided to go back home. Walters is great, he just go stuck in a bad situation from the get go. Would love to see him stay in the Big Ten, or Illinois again, but I'm sure he knows what he wants and will do great. Unfortunate that Purdue didn’t work out for Ryan Walters. But he needs to come back to Illinois. Illinois’s defense has not been the same ever since he left.
