@@keithdoherty9155 I don’t think the WRs themselves are the reason our offense hasn’t been productive. It’s hard to make an impact when the QB isn’t getting you the ball. That’s partly on the QB and partly on the scheme. Throwing Gilbert or Williams out there won’t change that.

@@domerguy88 College football is NFL lite today. Any one can win and anyone can be beaten. ND fan since the 80s and NIU did not surprise me. You better prepare as if you are facing the number #1 team in the nation every Saturday. That is a must today. NIU had 30 plus seniors with 18 of them returning starters. They did not flinch, just as ND did not against Texas A&M. ND flinched and lost to NIU.

I don’t understand. The team I saw at A&M was really great on Defense. They were firing off the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. This last week, there was no fire. I don’t understand what happened to the team I witnessed against A&M. Hopefully y’all bounce back. The USC game later in the year will be huge. They still can make the playoffs. Keep the faith.

Go see his passion, his tears, his joy,and also niu is a veteran team they weren't scared ND is starting to freshman on offensive line,Marcus freeman is soft and it shows with the players .look what Anthony knapp said after the Texas a&m win he was extra pumped when freeman came out the tunnel and pumped everyone up it motivated him more. Al Golden lied when he said they prepared the same for Niu and Texas a&m. Notre dame football had a walkthrough practice on a Thursday u would never do that for a big school and that's why Notre dame lost . Why is Freeman's clock ticking. Dude has gotten better recruits and he's performing no worse than anyone else. Holtz lost games he should have won too. Kelly did well in ur 3 but we know how that turned out. I'd give him another year or 2 before i'd start thinking hotseat. The WR problem is his, but he's had a different OC every yr. Rome wasn't built in a day people.

Every ND reporter on the ND beat has said Riley was the better QB in camp. If by commentators you mean TV commentators, they don’t follow the team and don’t know anything compared to the local media. Angeli has not played against any good defenses. The fact that the team 2 years in a row has gone to the transfer portal instead of going with Angeli should tell you something. The fact that Angeli didn’t even go into the portal should tell you something as well since he knew he wasn’t going to start over Riley. Next year Carr will be the starting QB and Angeli will transfer.

@@JG-dk5nm he has 77 percent completion on 11.5 yards average attempt. Pyne had 64% on 8 avg. Leonard 59 on 6 avg (23). Leonard is bottoms in every stat category in the FBS. Carr is a true freshman and fourth on the depth chart. Minchey has looked awful when he played. Why are you just assuming Angeli is bad with no evidence? Also, Angeli wasn’t unrecruited like Pyne either. He had offers from Michigan and Miami.
