I’m interested to see if Furst can bounce back and if Berg is a real player. We need rebounding and physical interior defense. One of these two guys has to do that for Purdue to maximize its potential this year.

Could as easily be Burgess or the tall kid. Coaches love Burgess Im told.

@@mikeb1039 I think the best case for the program would be if they both red shirted along w/ Benter. Of course that would only be best if Furst & Berg could hold down the paint.

Berg has practiced everyday against Edey for 2 years. I'm sure hes learned to at least hold his own for stretches.

Absolutely, if Burgess is as good as they’re saying, I say let him ride it out this season and beat out some of those other guys. Hot take here, Raleigh is so good that he doesn’t need an extra year of eligibility because the NBA is calling his name.

@@brianstidd1164 He seems reasonably skilled. I think the question is if he'll be quick enough or a step slow.

I was talking about Burgess as soon as he committed! He's going to be a great player!

In season, Smith and TKR get 36 minutes each. Everybody else revolves around that axis. Loyer will likely be flat vs last year at 28 minutes, but could see pressure with matchup problems. Need shooters all around TKR unless he takes a significant step forward in 3-point shooting.

Kalkbrener is going to be a great test for our front line and not suffer any consequences for trying different things.

People freaked after Arkansas last year, so you know it’s coming

Stop it. No one “freaked out” besides Arkansas fans that acted like they won the national championship.
