I've been saying this for ages, the best era of football was 2013-2018 imo. Coincidentally the time when we as Arsenal got battered 5-1 multiple time and none of the english teams even managed to reach a ucl final, let alone win it. When United finished 3rd in 2019-20 they finished 33 points behind the winners. When they finished second in 2021-22 they finished 12 points behind the winners. Those aren’t close tallies. If my team were that far behind in those years I’d complain too. Don’t try it - we can see what this is.

The Arsenal fans in the comments are angry, but he’s right. I’m a Real Madrid supporter and I’ve watched PL games. Your league is horrible. There’s no technical skill, your players can’t make a cross that goes past the first man consistently, can barely string passes together and poor refereeing. Most PL teams would lose or struggle against the likes of Girona or Real Sociedad. Not to mention how FFP practically stops any team from realistically competing with the big 6 clubs on a consistent basis.

If you took all of the premier league teams and all of the la liga teams, and each one of them played each other according to league position in their respective leagues, maybe 6 or 7 premier league teams would win their games. The premier league is just a worse league. The PR keeps the masses paying the stupidly expensive season tickets to see their mediocre team that doesn’t care about winning.

I understand what he saying in a big plan the English teams have been bad in Europe but don’t forget other teams get helped by their leagues Bayern play on a Friday to help them 4 the arsenal game while we played 4 games in 15 days we don get rested as much coz the PL care about money and tv. Every 3 days assna played while other European clubs get extra days to rest.

Rants I hear you, and I agree with you to an extent. However it has to be said its has been a very hard season for PL sides this one. And I am not talking about our club and Chels. We are rubbish due to ETH, and Chels are also rubbish. However top 4 sides have had more *accumulated fatigue* than other European sides. IMO PL is still , by far, the best league. Sadly our teams play so many games that whenever there is a world cup we feel the negative impact of tiredness for at least one more season. Again, not talking about our club. It is how it is, players get tired and older and these fluctuations happen. There is one issue with the PL right now that I would like ppl to talk about however. The PL is not refreshing its talent pool fast enough. We are not producing enough young talents and we are not trusting enough young talent. IF this continues then Rants will be 100% right. Spanish and German and Italian sides are working harder towards getting more young talents ! And IMO in this part Rants is 100% right.
