PURE CENTUR-ION Master Rank - They're Good on their Own!

That handtrap package you can run in pure is insane but something about pure Centur-ions just doesn't do it for me. I think it is that their in archetype boss monsters really are only good because their level + crimson lets you summon a real boss monster. You mentioned the small vision package is the better play but I have really enjoyed a more Resonator focused deck where the centurions are the added engine. Auxila being a Dark Dragon is such a boon for that deck because it allows full RDA combo then shift into Centur-ion setting up the Crimson Dragon on the opponents turn.

This is the deck Ive climbed highest with a good speed in ranked. Im using “Noble Knight Shield Bearer” to search hop ear Squadron, I run hop ear at 2x as many bystials as possible. You can make Desert locusts with Trudeia and then she becomes a banish target for a bystial, Then you can make Legatia on ops turn for a draw, Or remake a removed Auxillia. Also gives extra synchro options outside of field spell and crimson dragon, Can even use the Hop ears to dodge certain effects. Another option I tried was Melffy, Also to search Hop Ear, But having full centur-Ion combo, Then end turn you start to fill your hand with Melffy nonsense it makes it very hard for opponents to keep up. Pinny+ Hop ear + Field spell synchros on opps turn 🤷‍♂️

I've been running a SHS package with my centur-ion, and it's been working out pretty well, it allows for plays without your normal, and the engines just work seamlessly.

you can play this as a shifter deck without losing much. auxila can set from banished, so you can just play your normal combo

I would add one Enigmaster Packbit to the extra deck because if summoned you can put a monster from your opponents field to the spell/trap zone or one of your monsters from the gy, This card feels like a custom card for Centur-Ion, it also counters Flamberge if one of your non- Centur-Ion cards gets send to the backrow. I also would play the Shining Star Dragon hand trap because it helps you to go to Crimson Dragon during your opponents turn in combination with your Emet. What i do is, i play Aussault Synchron with either Trueda or one of the Bystial to go into Golden CLoud Dragon or into Stardust Dragon and synchro them off. Then during my opponents turn i can bring them back with Shining Star dragon and synchro them away. You then re. trigger Golden CLoud Bests effect and baunce one card from your opponent back. I personally think that Shining Star Dragon is unterrated because this hand trap is fire.

@@randomgenretalk8151 People like Packbit because it mentions continuous trap in its name but it's really not crucial to Centur-Ion (you can run it sure but it comes up as much as anything else you put in the 13th-15th slot). It's still a level 8 synchro which means you have to forgo your centur-ion synchro plays in order to remove a single monster but then you don't have any interruption or followup for your opponent's next turn

@@TheShapestofSnatches This is where Shining Star Dragons comes to play, you can special summon it which is lv. 4 and a dragon synchro, you don't have to use the special summoned dragon synchro as synchro material. You can use trueda or any lv. 4 non- tuner to synchro away into Packbit. But it depends what kind of package you play. I use this card for example in a version that plays Synchrons and a version that play the Toy engine. It works there, if you don't see any use of it it's fine. I can only say it works but if you don't like it in Centur- Ion, Labrynth can use this card as a Nadir Servant and Dogmatik Punishment target. But Packbit aside, i highly recommand Shining Star Dragon, this card is searchable with Magnamut.

Try the Nemeses cards (including Thunder Dragon Colossus) Bonfire gets you Trudeia or Agnimal OR Flag. Flag gets Eschatos. Eshcatos call fiends. Bye bye Yubel :P

One thing to note about wake up centurion is that it lets trudea one card combo through shifter. I'm playing shifter in my centurion deck for this reason. Going second it is broken and going first you chose whether to use it or discard it with the field depending on your hand

personally I'm running a larger list with bystials and the superheavy samurai engine to make baronne/have more lvl 4 tuner access. so far its been going great as bystials easily counter some annoying matchups for centurion like branded. it does brick occasionally but often times it bricks in a way where you can get baronne and often thats all you need.

After playing Centurion with Complete Bystial Engine (Magnamhut + Saronir + Druiswurm + Baldrake + 2 Lubellion + Branded Lost and Beast), or Centurion with Horus Engine, I can safely say Centurion with any engine prone to brick, especially with Bystial Engine. 2 Bystial is enough for a LV 6 body for this deck. With Horus tough, Its rarely brick but sometimes you just dont draw the Centurion main starter. so your plan is to draw the out by using the Coach King, which is really the bottleneck with this engine. I playtest it 5 times with pure Centurion with some tweaking. I'm lacking the UR dust so I can only craft 1 Blazar, swap 1 of them to Dis Pater. Instead of effect veiler, I swapped 2 of them with Ringo Dragon and 1 of them to Synchro Rumble (searchable by Crimson Dragon). I can safely say the pure variant is more consistent despite less wombo combo.

You should put a dingirsu for a free pop and protection that can then go into Zeus. The level 8 ghoti synchro that banishes is also super clutch, that thing helps me sweep up yubel pretty nice.

@@sangramos hop ear not so much because you already have Primera as a tuner. Like it can maybe get you an extra synchro. I would not play ghoti in this, I don't know how you get the ghoti engine going while also normal summoning a Centur-Ion

Yeah. If Centurion wants to be a deck on its own (considering that badly thought restriction of only summoning once no matter where, which makes this deck too slow for Modern Yu-Gi-Oh), they must have 3 or 4 tuners
