How does pure Dark magician fair against todays banlist and meta?

It’s a tricky one to answer because it depends how much knowledge the player has on their deck and the meta. The average player using DM could definitely reach and stay in platinum rank.

@@Zohess That's right, there are better decks if you want to reach Master. I choose to play DM because it's a part of my childhood and I love it. Makes me happy to win with DM than a top tier deck. I'm currently on Diamond but reaching Master is the goal.

@@Ddoge2024 he's just a good instant summon beater tbf I can't afford to use dark magician because then you'd have to use dark magician support for it to be worthwhile My exodia deck uses the current available support in master duel (dying to get the rest to see what I can do with it) and so far it's very consistent I should point out its a 60 card deck that also uses 3 copies of Maxx C incase I run into special summon spam decks (it's funny watching them exodia themselves) I recently beat a Ra deck into submission and won *because* of mahad lol As it turns out when the sphere goes back to them on my turn exodia incarnate doesn't care about Ra's "cannot be targeted for attack" ruling so I hit that for 5k and swing on him with mahad lol It's better usually if I can get forbidden lord out as well because who doesn't want 2 5k beaters but exodia Incarnate is my genuine favorite card He doesn't care about *anything* and flat out ignores stuff like swords of light and magical cylinder I don't use an extra deck also It's just there so I can pot of greed or occasionally get Egyptian god slime out and *maybe* summon obelisk the tormentor Otherwise obelisk is a discard card

@@Ddoge2024 well youtube deleted it or something but i just use him as a quick summonable beater i dont really make use of my extra deck unless its egyptian god slime *potentially* into obelisk the tormentor *might use slifer instead idk yet because i do have a lot of "draw more cards" stuff* my deck's main goal is to just get exodia incarnate to the field alongside exodius the forbidden lord and beat down on my opponent sometimes if i open with maxx C i'll shotgun it and probably get an exodia finish on the first turn or even summon mahad lol because you simply have to draw into him by any means
