Wow! You can tell Pete was FEELING that outro jam. Tone was killer and he played so differently to normal. That must be what it’s like to be inspired by the sound of the guitar and amp combo.

The Americana looks like a 6L6 powered fender tweed deluxe with reverb. I would believe you have to drive it the same, with a combination of both volumes. On a tweed deluxe the channels are wired together so you can bleed some of the volume through the other channels volume pot.

Yeah, after watching the Synergy demos I can't even get behind ANY new amp that doesn't really offer something in a module or knock off module. I mean Synergy made knock off modules for a bit, I don't see anything ethically incorrect about trying to get into people's platforms by leveraging their form factor - it's just a carrier housing and pluggable connectors. It's also a lot of money (RISK) to start up with a full vertical integration, if you can just build your preamp to interface with several power amps well enough then you don't have to necessarily start right off investing in full cabinet/combo builds. You don't even need to buy tolex at that stage and you can house a lot more units in inventory and your inventory units are more granular.

New to the guitar game, when I started I was so intimidated by the prices of everything. I didn't think I could get great gear on a budget and I am glad that is not the case. With that said, when I see things like these amps, man it gives me so much motivation to really try and become the best player I can. That way one day I can own something like one of these amps and really be able to get all that I can out of it. Love your videos Andertons Music Co. Thanks for putting out such fun content!
@charlesbolton84714 жыл бұрын
Since you said that you were new to guitar and on a budget I would like to give a little advice. First, I want to say that right now (really for the last 10 years or so) we are in the best time ever for well made budget priced gear in all categories (instruments, amps, pedals, etc). So enjoy all the options that we have before us. My advice to you is to NOT fall into the trap of saying I will get (whatever dream piece of gear) as soon as I feel I’m worthy of it. I understand the financial limitations, but as soon as you can afford whatever piece of gear you really want don’t hold yourself back because of your ability as a guitarist. Your dream gear will help you to play better and encourage you to play more. Regardless of price range you are shopping always buy the guitar that speaks to you. It’s like when you met the person you want to marry. You really can’t describe the feeling to someone, but you just know. A second word of advice don’t go to the other extreme either where you become so obsessed with chasing gear that you don’t spend time playing. I’ve been playing since the mid 80s and I only had budget priced gear until 5 or 6 years ago because I didn’t think I deserved it, but it really does make a big difference once you start moving out of the budget priced gear into intermediate or higher end gear.

It would be great to try an American (Montana) made Epiphone Casino through these amps, but where are they? Epiphone presented them at NAMM at the beginning of the year. We're now almost into November and they're yet to appear in the music stores.
@charlesbolton84714 жыл бұрын
I’m not trying to be rude, but we are currently in the middle of a global pandemic. Speaking as an American the pandemic is getting worse for us. That being said many manufacturers (in all types of industries including musical instruments) are still shutdown or running at a much lower than usual volume. My assumption is that the Epiphone Casino will be made in Nashville with all the other Gibson electric guitars. If that is the case, Nashville is one of the hardest hit (by the pandemic) cities in the Southern USA. I’m not even sure if the Gibson factory is running right now. All of the independent music stores are open by appointment only still, and the big chain stores have practically no inventory. If the Casino is being made at the Gibson’s Acoustic factory in Montana it is probably in better shape than Nashville, but the pandemic is starting to hit the more rural areas hard now.
@zebulon39u4 жыл бұрын
@@charlesbolton8471 Good post Charles. You're not being rude at all, and you're almost certainly right in saying that the Casino will be produced in Nashville. Damn it, I should have known that! I visited the Nashville factory in 2004, so I should have guessed that it will certainly be produced there. The reason I brought this question up is because a few weeks ago, Ben presented the new Epiphone made-in-Montana Texan in a very good review. Towards the end he mentioned that he was looking forward to seeing the forthcoming USA Epiphone Casino. All I was wondering is, if Epiphone have brought the Texan to stores this year, why haven't they done so with the Casino? It just seems odd that if you present a new product at NAMM at the beginning of the year, and it still isn't available by November, then maybe a bit of communication might be in order. I'm sure everyone would understand if Epiphone explained that Nashville was particularly hit by Covid and it was that which caused the delay, but the absence of communication is difficult to explain.
