Are you maybe hearing that because it's a revving straight 6? The cam does add a little more texture to the sound than a stock BMW 6 IMO. For updates, yes a few things, I need to get some videos made!

​@@NeverEndingProjectGarage In case you're still wondering, the high pitch sound comes solely from the y-pipe. Its equal length design changes the way the exhaust gas pulses meet when entering the single pipe layout and therefore give it that signature RB/JZ scream. Btw: Those engines sound similar to a BMW inline 6 when having stock headers.

I need to get myself a bmw too. Luckily I live in Germany, so there are a few of those around, haha. Last video you said you used to own a 325, do you recommend those too, or should one just spend more and get the M3?

325s are so cheap in the US that they're usually a better deal if you just want an E36 to build. All the M3 parts are fairly easy to swap in except the engine, so if you plan to do a lot of modding I'd get a 325i. If you want the better stock experience, the extra money for a M3 may be worth it.

Is this the 3" BW race exhaust? If so how were you able to buy this with driving it on the streets and no cats?

Some states don’t test emissions. And it’s easy enough to swap the cats back on for a day every year.

Bimmerworld exhaust, Turner Motorsport shorty headers. They were on the car when I bought it so I can't compare it to before, but with all of the mods the car definitely feels spicy.
