Hi, are you planning to have only breathing course with master hisham?

We doubt, this is the fundamental breathing course

The Shaolin temple today only has the hybrid style I believe. It's all commercialized and they all follow the same curriculum and learn the same Qigong forms (baduan jin, yi jin jing etc.) and the same dance-like wushu forms. Although they seem to be doing lots of harden skill (hitting the bags), I haven't really seen anyone with a developed iron skill (hardened limbs like this master) so their methods are also questionable. For the most part what they teach is good and useful stuff but it's not the real ancient Kung Fu anymore

I believe any qigong or kungfu is best taught/learned face to face. NOT online.
@Vahvafitness
@Vahvafitness 4 жыл бұрын
Learning almost anything is the best face to face but very few have access to the busiest people. Regarding the teaching, the lessons are very detailed. For example, Jiang instructs and explains just ONE breathing technique for nearly 20 minutes and lots of breathing techniques are covered in the course. There's nearly 7 hours of content and all content is to the point.

While i agree, someone who has been blessed with learning under a master of Chinese martial arts and qigong, one will receive as much as they can perceive. While I would like the in person critique, I am very appreciative to these online classes. I am definitely looking forward to the day when I have enough money to pay for the course.

I will say, this is incredible knowledge. I have studied three and a half months straight in the mountains of Northern California with Master Yang Jwing-Ming and his disciples at the YMAA retreat center. Amazing experience. I have been blessed with an in depth understanding of Yang style Taiji Quan and different styles of qigong along with a great understanding of Chinese culture and medicine. With that being said, afterwards I paid for a whole year subscription of DK Yoo’s WCS. I can consider WCS a hybrid style but it is effective for what it presents. Body mechanics along with exercises to go hand in hand with movements and theory. I will say, DK Yoo is amazing in terms of what he hones. Very rare to see some one with that type of control with their body. He attributes a lot of his speed to his standing meditation (which is really just a basic standing meditation with proper body mechanics for ~20 minutes.)

Dr. Yang's true combat skills are Shaolin white crane. He mentioned that the Shaolin white crane style was where he got the real nei gong for combat. His tai Chi I think is more towards health improvement. He did mention that his health wasn't so good as a kid. I'm sure he was taught the combat aspect of it but if you are a kid with not so good health then your mind is most likely on improving your health and not more on fighting.

Lots of people think that over the centuries it is a great loss every time the Shaolin temple burned and writings and teachings were lost forever. People forget that perhaps a sadder loss is probably just the loss of an art through natural causes. A master dies before teaching his hard. A student does not pass along the art to the next generation, or just the next generation does not understand the art enough to teach it properly. I trully hope this mas is able to pass on everything he knows. and that it is understood in the future.

Hi Eero. Love all of your videos. Recently purchased Movement 20XX. I am a 65 years young woman who is a massage therapist/bodyworker for 35 years. I would have liked to see this program offered in 2 separate packages. I was very interested in all the breathing techniques for health and healing purposes. If I understand correctly, the fighting techniques and practices may not be suitable for women due to the potential of increasing testosterone levels. (Actually, many women, especially post-menopausal ones, have low testosterone levels and could use the boost.) Could you kindly clarify this matter? Would you eventually consider offering 2 separate packages or is this not realistic? Thanks for all your wonderful work! I have benefitted tremendously and you are very inspiring! All my best for good health and continued success.

No plans to offer in two packages, the fighting Qigong part offers still a lot of value even when you skip the hardest part (The Golden Bell). The fighting Qigong requires the breathing from the Health Qigong to be done correctly, a lot of effectiveness and power actually comes from proper breathing. We only recently realized on a deeper level how much proper breathing can truly change everything even in a regular fitness exercise. Basically, the fighting Qigong (Lohan Gong Form) is what is displayed in the trailer after 2:40 kzbin.info/www/bejne/fmimioaPebZ-f9U , this is one part of the Golden Bell but in addition to the form there's body hardening and other methods to boost the body's functions, these are actually a lot harder and more intense (even dangerous) than the form. I believe the master said that the fighting Qigong is not recommended for MOST women due to the testosterone boost. But there are women who may actually want this, such as professional fighters/athletes and maybe the women after the menopause (this I know nothing about).

Ya see . My Fu is super mix of different cuz because that how I learned from my teachers. But I didn't get to learn just one style. My current teacher lives in Kansas City and I have no way of getting a ride most of the time there and back :( . So I have ten plus years of always doing the same forms. I'm glad I do kick boxing to sort of push the Fu forward in combat. But I still desire a whole style

TAIWAN ( Free China) has had lineages of Taoism, Buddhism, Shaolin since the Ming Dynasty coming over from the Mainland and permanently here. Taiwan is a unique time capsule unaffected by communism- it’s cultural revolution, purges, and revisionist policies.
