there are some disadvantages of using vinyl. for example its big and heavy. also if u use vinyl u need granite slab to stabilize vinyl, because if there will be vibration - u will face big problems. so yes there a lot of reasons to be 'fake usb djs' as u said. ur comment tells me that uve never work as a dj and for a sure not worked with 20+ kw sound.

I always told my DJ students, best way to mix is to get up ontop of the mixer, face 5 inches away and smoothly turn the knobs using a few fingers knuckles. This guy is a natural.
