It was not that easy to be exposed to the public as it is now days. Some of them are probably ex-pro singers, or just people who never had the opportunity to be shown as real music stars ad they are. Many of us, who had the skill to sing, had to continue helping our parents and family doing other jobs to sustain our houses. 30 or 40 years ago things were really different than today.

I am 75 and started singing with my same band when I was 14 .We lasted over 30 years together and many,many gigs as a hobby and for our love of music. Today I use backing trax and miss the LIVE backing. When the music is in your veins , especially the music of our day , like we hear on this channel and the way they are sung by ‘us oldies’ , the shivers just come!!

WOW! This is a refreshing change. Everyone on the singing shows do the modern music, it's nice to listen to old classics. Young people don't give the classics much exposure, but the music back then inspired feelings missing from modern tunes. There are a lot of fantastic older singers out there who don't get much of a chance on these shows. Thank you for showing another side to life. Two thumbs up

Totally agree. Look Tom Jones at 80 still going strong... age brings experience and maturity, and if you have a healthy lifestyle you can still be OK at 80... even at 90 like William Shatner who just went in space lately...

He is one of the most famous bluesmen in Russia and at least 3 coaches have played with him, some even in USSR. He also wrote hymn for Sochi-2014 Olimpic Games. So he really didn't expected they will not recognize him and turn.

What I love the most about them is that you can feel how much they're enjoying the performance while they're singing. The normal one... you can feel they're always trying too hard to make a chair turn but... It's different for seniors...

These are my favorite of all of the Voice shows. The Senior singers are so classy, professional and as this video shows, can sing better than many on the radio today. And Procol Harum's Whiter Shade of Pale is always a favorite as well.

Young people think it's all about them but they just don't have what older people have. Sometimes when i hear a 10 year old sing about a broken heart and never to love again etcetera it makes no sense. I understand they want to show their capabilities . Older people should be appreciated more. Love this show the beautiful voices!

I remember father with all these seniors grand seniors true talents seniors. They were all drawn by so much life experience of the world wars and so many turmoils of the 40s, 60s you can actually feel them in the way they sing. These are when music and songs are so much clearer in composition and content. That Russian sounding Texan man is simply a wow to me 29:28 so much American music influence in those times when they were on their teens and young adults.
