There was a lot of variety in this compilation, from the soft and slow to the exuberant. From the title I thought that they'd all be songs in foreign languages, but nope, there were two in English. And even an instrumental (that dude, the coach playing the guitar, is honestly an intimidating looking guy -- I'd cross the street if I saw him coming -- but here he is, a musician and coach on the Voice of Mongolia). That was a nice collection and, as usual, you put it together so it flowed well. Thank you.

I have to say that all of these were well worth their inclusion here. There were two that stood out for me, though. “The Click Song” is so incredibly unusual that it couldn’t help but keep my attention. I can’t begin to fathom just how she does it, even after multiple times viewing it over the years!! 😮. The second is the last song. While it’s almost shocking to think of an instrumental on a show called “The Voice,” it was incredibly powerful and entertaining. Every time I have seen this performance, the combination of the piano, strings and electric guitar reminds me of The Trans Siberian Orchestra in the overall sound. And I love TSO!! Bravo! 👏👏 Many thanks for putting these eclectic wonders into the spotlight here! 💁🏻♀️💕

Music speaks to the soul, lyrics or no. My own favorite instrumentals are Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" (1957), closely followed by Booker T. & The MGs' "Green Onions" (1962). 😎😎

What a collection! These folk "classics" truly are *_unforgettable,_* the best-of-the-best from select countries around our great planet. It was thrilling to see Mongolia included, having for years watched their Naadam and "The Voice" productions via YT. And for those who don't know already, Mongolia is a free, independent and democratic country, encompassing huge spans of virgin forests, magnificent waterfalls and inland lakes, soaring mountains hosting great eagles, extending down into the vast desert lands of the Gobi. Further, Mongolia has 3x more horses than humans --- which goes a long way to explain why I so closely relate to Mongols and their rich music, lol. _Thank you, Pure!!!_ 🐎🎶😘

So enjoyable an ensemble of traditional "folk" songs...it is a wide wide field that encompasses so many styles. Just as a beginning, the ending point of this group was one of my old favorites from Mongolia with beautiful dramatic and moving strings, ranging piano with singing guitar and bowed strings. Other favorites ...Aino Norrintytar with Wardruna' "Helvegen" which sung (as here) is powerful, dramatic and emotional. Since my start of listening to music was primarily folk on an early Tandberg, almost all of these choices resonated quite strongly...as the Liv Pavey Australia "Scarborough Fair" with judge Goodrem well illlustrated, such a favorite in many compilations. A resounding well done for pureemotionmusic, as is always the case...
