Oi m8 The Only thing that matters is they Won Both in real life and he won this race. Technicalities do matter but the fact it won negates the fact that it’s slower. Most people are aren’t car enthusiasts like you and only care if it wins or loses. We know why the car was banned but no one cares about that. It was comment about the skill of the racer and the importance of the car at the track. Nothing more

@@colinc5252 The car got banned because of it's engine, not because it was particularly fast, but because of the 3.5L rule. Idk why people assume it was banned because it was quick, in qualifying, it was 12 seconds behind the lead prototype lmao. I was there in '91, saw everything, the sound and the looks of the car did not match the speed it showed. But, a win is a win, especially considering the era it won in.

That Sarthe can put you in a trance. I think I would have cried if I was following racing back in the 90s when the chicanes were put on the Mulsanne Straight. It's still a good course, though. I'd like to see drivers who reach an almost impossible level of consistency be rewarded with wind visualizations in the sim. I'd love it if a driver could reach a level where visual wind and slipstream cues would fade into view. Call it "the zone". And it would only be awarded to drivers posting laps that are within say, .0001 seconds of each other. It would only appear on those rare occasions when the driver, the machine and the road become locked in a synchronic dialog in which lap times are posted that call into question the calibration on the timing machines. It would appear at times in which the mere recognition of the fact that it's on the screen would be enough of a distraction to make the driver lose concentration and cause it to disappear. A once in a lifetime level. That's what I want.

If we could ascribe a quality such as naturally balanced or firing order to a rotary powered vehicle ur observation is correct. It doesn't sound like a v10 because the internal working of a rotary r not balanced like a v10's firing order. There s something punchy about the 787's exhaust more akin to a v8 with a flat plane- plus 4 rotors mathematically resembles 8 cylinders instead of 10.

The 787B is overrated, just like that. Back in 1991, it was one of the slowest cars in it's class. The car won 24hrs of le mans, no denying that, but not because it was "that good"

You dont know nothing of what you are saying. Rotary engines are racing engines. I agree they were a little bit slower but its n/a against turbo. 700 hp against 1000 hp. 830 kg against 1000 kg That was its advantage. Its a lighter car and the engine doesnt have vibrations so drivers smashed the throttle since minute one of racing where rivals couldnt do. Learn about racing and rotarys cause you dont have any idea And if you want to know something else I have in my garage 2 rotarys one 2006 rx8 and a 1993 rx7 so i know what im saying

Pretty sure he was using the paddles. The car shifts gears like it's a traditional manual because that's the kind of transmission they're equipped with. It wouldn't be realistic if they shifted like as fast as a sequential or dual-clutch.
