Greg's negativity quote is deep. So honest. Really makes me look at things different. Loved this one. This is probably my 4th time re-watching the carroll episodes.

shit man. i had no idea about carroll's upbringing. this warrants a recalibration of my respect meter.

greg carroll is probably the nicest person you will ever meet. Such a good spirit even through it all.

Okay I did the research and you can believe me or not but the first signature pro model skate shoe was the Etnies Natas Kaupas model in 1987. Vans Cabs came out in 1988 and airwalk Jason Lee was much later 1995.

My memory is fuzzy so you may be right but I thought the vans cab high was first then there was the natas shoe on etnies and airwalks jason lee model. all these shoes came out in like a two year period so I can't remember which was first. I know that I had vision street wear in 1987 and a pair of airwalk prototypes in 1988 so they were both out around the same time.

since there is not a whole lot of people coming through here...id like to say if you have a facebook account, hit up Greg Carroll on it...if you tell him you are a fan, he WILL respond to you and he talked to me about some real shit that i had going on in my life and i learned a lot from it. we took a spiritual walk together in my neighborhood. i dont regret messaging him. so if you have some issues you need sorting out i suggest you look him up on facebook. !
@skwirlee1312 жыл бұрын
right, but etnies was some weird European company back then and I don't know anyone that ever owned a pair of those shoes. They didn't catch until a few years later, I think.
