Excellent...excellent channel...extremely helpful information. I have rural experience and have assisted many relatives on their farms and homesteads. Meyer Hatchery is great...I have contacted them on questions. I m currently looking for property in Illinois. Hope to get one will see what happens. I live now in a town that allows you to have 6 chickens 1 being a roster and 5 hens or just 6 hens. That is all your allowed. But I want 1 roster to protect my hens when free ranging.

My sister is moving out of state & I'm getting her chickens. I'm new to all of the chicken things. They are in their 2nd season. I was reading I need to lock them in their new coop for a few days. is that correct? Any other advice for getting older chickens as your first chickens? Thanks!
