Unless you’re the original videographer/editor for these videos, you shouldn’t make claims that you edited these videos personally. Slapping your self promotion text over original content does not count as making editing “cuts.” Uploading this doesn’t take hard work, it’s been on KZbin for almost two decades. I know this because I’ve had these videos on my hard drive for years and converted them to audio files so I can listen to them to fall asleep. Quit your bullshit.

My first memory of a strong asmr was on a still afternoon, when I was about 10 years old, and my aunt started praying in a soft whisper (she's a nun). I got stuck to the chair with delight, full of tingles, already wandering how that reaction worked.

My first memory was in kindergarten. My teacher kept a 1 gallon ice cream bucket of used and abused crayons in the back of the classroom. Most had lost their paper sleeves and/or were broken in half. One of the girls in my class went to get a few crayons... she was so gentle about it. The sounds of the wax lightly clicking together, the soft rustle of worn out paper sleeves brushing together as she gently raked through the bucket. She’d grab a handful and let the ones she didn’t want fall through her fingers back into the bucket... then I started “noticing” how gently my teacher passed out papers placing one on everyone’s desk...and so began the big mystery of why I couldn’t pay attention in class and was so easily distracted. 😝

@jonnymurgatroyd856

@@anthonycardenas4994 Nah, it's clearly in most peoples minds that they are only pretending to understand. This is because she's speaking nonsense and non sequiturs that can only be 'understood' if you're pretending to get something deep from it. The draw is to prey on people who want to think they are special to understand something their peers do not or are gleaning some special knowledge for themselves.

@YouDontKnowAsMuchAsYouThinkUDo
@YouDontKnowAsMuchAsYouThinkUDo Жыл бұрын
@@jonnymurgatroyd856 Hard disagree. There are many of my peers that don't possess the knowledge that I do and vice versa. I live in the Canadian Rocky mountains with no running water, no electricity and no gas. I cook and heat my home and water by wood stove. I grow and hunt my food. My friends range from wood workers to nurses, computer programmers and emergency personelle. We all bring different knowledge, viewpoints and concepts to the table. As far as deep understanding goes, that varies from individual to individual. I know many people who are extremely intelligent but are completely out of touch and in utter denial of any kind of divinity and fail to think outside of a predetermined boxed. This mans concept of presence is very literal. He needs to see something in order for him to consider it present. I can't see or touch the great Wall of China but it is present. I can't see Pluto but it is present. I can't see air but it is present. People in general look at things in such a literal sense that they over analyze and over think, resulting in many of them complicating simple concepts. Many people have a very difficult time learning further than what they've been taught. They just cannot think outside of the box, no matter how logical or simple the concept. It just does not line up with what they think they know as fact. Example: Is a solid object solid? No. We now know that it's a mass of vibrating molecules, atoms, waveicles, etc. If you can grasp that concept then you're on the right path. Personally, I'm not sure why people think science and divinity don't mix. They absolutely go hand in hand. Things are not as they seem and everything is a world within a world to infinitum. Do you know how many people still have never heard these concepts? 👀 Too many.

Notice that emptiness. The lack of meaning is the absence of the thing itself. The absence of the ego imposing its presence over the big nothingness. It's really powerful. It's an absence but it's a presence at the same time. The presence of absence.

Shes talking about getting out of your own head basically. Being "in the moment" as people know it, but without the need for external stimulus to do so. Essentially shes encouraging the people in the room to look at the world without the fog of thoughts that clutter our perspective. Some of the comments label it nonsense but you all have hobbies, watch movies and the biggest one of all: drink alcohol - as all these things to allow us to do what shes talking about. This is aligning more with science aswell, many psychologists would recommend meditation for this purpose also.

She's talking about becoming aware that you are not being who you really are, but rather playing out conditioning that you've been programed with in your upbringing. The noticing and presence she's referring to, are to help stop identifying with, and addiction to, content (conditioning/programing/beliefs), by becoming the observer of it, and as a result seeing through it. Realizing you are the consciousness that mental, physical, and emotional content arises in, not the content itself. Be the sky. The clouds are just passing through.

@@amethyste684Within a capitalist system, literally anyone who has a business is out to get you. I'm glad you found it useful, but I would've been pissed that my time was being wasted, if I was there. I've only had one of these annoying meditative therapies once. The entire time I was told to lay down, close my eyes and explain what I see. Spoiler alert: It was mostly orange due to the light shining on my eyelids. Sometimes I would see certain shapes, but that was it. I asked the therapist at one point how long the therapy's supposed to last, since I had work right after the appointment. He literally said, 'It'll end once you feel healed.' That motherfucker held me hostage until I told him what he wanted to hear. That certainly wasn't going to happen, because the entire time I felt more bored and annoyed rather than relaxed. Around the end, I lied and said I feel cured. I wasn't letting this asshole hold me back from earning money. AKA Doing something actually useful with my time. My mom paid $300 for it, because she genuinely thought it would help me. I feel so sorry for her, because she falls so much for this bullshit when she and I can literally just meditate at home for free.

For people who are confused as to what Neelam is talking about: check out the Neo-Advaita movement or Gangaji.The point of these 'Satsangs' or meetings is to induce a dissociative experience where the sense of self coincides with mere awareness, even if for a brief moment. I think it is the combination and contrast of hard sounds like t, g, k, p, r (rolled r) and soft sounds like s, c which often happen in the same word. It's surprising to hear it as it's not an English accent, so that difference can make us relaxed. Combined with her soft voice, almost whisper and adding the words like: you see, yes, after after every sentence. A lot of Polish consonants you don't find anywhere else like ć, ś, cz, sz (it sounds like wind basically) which creates sounds that can be very relaxing. Look up Polish ASMR that's also very relaxing!

Oh my gosh! She’s basically talking about childhood trauma and how it affects your adult life. You don’t realize it when you’re a child because…well, you’re a child, but the traumas you face as a kid condition you. And over time, that conditioning becomes so second nature to you, that you believe it’s just part of your personality, it’s just who you are, when I’m reality, it is only how you were conditioned, not who you actually are. Then when you’re an adult and you’re wondering why certain things bother you the way they do, or why you react the way you do, you believe it’s because of those immediate circumstances and rather than because of how you were condition during your childhood. Her use of the terms of consciousness and presence are understandably confusing because they don’t describe what it actually is. Consciousness could be swapped for “your perception of who you are” and presence could be swapped for “awareness of how you’re coping with your immediate situation and why you’re coping with it the way that you are”. Obviously, one word is better than whole phrases. So it’s understandable why she uses those terms.

It only sounds more relaxing when she simplifies it. I think it's a huge disservice to her patients when she doesn’t go in depth with what she's talking about. There are also a lot of people in the world with cognitive and comprehension issues, so being specific is incredibly important If you wanna actually help people.
