@LadyLithias3 жыл бұрын
in the early 1990's I volunteered in a series of old-people-homes. it touched me in ways I'll never forget. From little old ladies whose bones had turned to dust, addled and unaware of their current situation, but their young modest maiden sensibilities reacting to the aids helping them bathe is to screech "Help me!" or other heart-rending cries.... to the older woman I met who checked herself into the home, led the other residents, and who I wouldn't doubt is still alive today. I remember one old man, with a full head of thick white hair. I was awful at playing the piano, never had lessons, but could do the right-hand of hymns and Christmas songs. He sat and cried while I played songs, and then later when I sat next to him so my companion could sing to the old people, he kept giving my hand a palsied pat. I'd never heard him say anything, but at one point, his rheumy old eyes looked up and zeroed in on a portly man in his early fifties, and then with more wisdom and clarity than I'd ever seen, he spoke the once to me, telling me that his only grandchild's husband was a heartless beast, and that his "Jo" would have had a hard time finding anything nice to say about him. Then he resumed his vacant patting. Later that day I heard the relative inquiring about the old man, and saw the relief on his face when he learned the old man was asleep. (He passed away that night, on Christmas Eve). I'll never forget how it felt, to see the positive and negative of family relationships in one single example. I must return to watch more of this video. But for now I'm too tired to stay awake.

bing bingbung knowledge is power, not many people know that. Now, I may not be the wisest lad, or the eldest, but I am simply a person with knowledge. Knowledge is something we can all carry, others may not have the knowledge of other people, but if you are with the right people you can learn together in unison. You can bring each other up, while others may bring you down, but those people could have been with the wrong people, at the wrong time...

As soon as he mentioned his mother was Russian, I couldn’t fall asleep and became all ears as I’m of the same origin 😄 Was really interested how he was telling about his connection to the language and longing for being around Russian people. I guess it happened not only because his mother was by birth Russian, but also by character and thus taught him with common knowledge of a Russian person. Pity she didn’t teach him Russian when he was a child, she had a difficult past. Somehow you’re still drawn to your country no matter what disturbances happen there… I don’t know.., but now that I think about it, I guess in the past the difference was more notable. Now in the modern world the uniqueness of cultures, especially in big cities, just dissolves
@sergerekashev250410 ай бұрын
What an amazing talk, what an amazing character... Being myself of a mixed Anglo-Russian identity, at the very moment I saw John's picture or heard him talking, before I knew of his origin, I asked myself -- do I feel something Russian in this man? He actually looks and talks like a Russian Orthodox priest or a monk. One cannot dismiss his or her origin, not due to biological or genetic likeness, but due to an invisible spiritual bond to a country, people or faith. John is such a fine blend of best of English and Russian. His look and speech are so calming and reassuring. He looks like all people who found their faith and spiritual path to the Lord and only look better, more confident and attractive, as they age. I loved what he said about the Jesus prayer too. And what he said about observing the world around you and focusing on doing a good job -- cannot agree more...

This godly being is that of norse origin, he is a god that not only does not obey the laws of time and space, he simply does whatever he wants because nobody wants to stop him. In his eternal life he has learned so much that he can provide wisdom in exchange for freedom. Magical... I'd rather not break character but, I do love the way this man speaks and I'm surprised y'all thought this was funny or smart, or whatever.

@@JohnDoe-ek1pg did you just say Zues is not a God? God is a Human creation. Jesus is just the most common one right now. Humans need God not only to prove the unprovable, but to have something to help us deal with everyday problems, something that is ancient and something that knows everything. Svarog is a God. Odin is a God. Allah is a God. Christian God (Jesus, The Father and the Holy Spirit). Budah is a God. It all comes out the same, only monotheism has all the power of the polytheism has in each God. So yeah, they are all Gods.

Aqueous It’s actually edited. The guy listening went out of his way to interview him, but most of his speaking is edited out so we can listen to John more.

This is that one old man you find in a library in an RPG and gives you a side quest

He asks you to sit and share tea with him while discussing topics of the soul after the quest to retrieve the locket of his late wife that got pillfured by a goblin raid over half a year ago. He then leaves you with a bit of advice. "Do your best, always do the best you can cause your best is all you can do."
