That last question was one I've always wanted them to answer, but I can't tell where they stopped being serious. I'm just going to go with that he can't read music and doesn't know theory. Which is astounding because the harmonies and structure of their music is advanced compared to other bands.

CC Veil I know it doesn't make sense but I have heard plenty of guitar players say they don't know how to read/write music. I guess they have their own certain way of writing music.

Alejandra Fonseca lots of guitarist don't read sheet music but they all understand tablature which is easy for anyone to read and write.

One doesn't necessarily need to understand music theory to write complex melodies and such, a lot of guitarists and musicians simply figure it all out by ear and just play what sounds good.
