Purge valve on 2014 Hyundai Veloster turbo (code P0441)

Fixing the code P0441 on my 2014 Hyundai Veloster and also an update on what happening in Oregon. The purge valve is a super easy fix and I show you exactly how to fix it.

I had the same issue. If you fail to clear the code after you replace the part, it'll continue for several miles until the computer self diagnoses itself and turns the check engine light back off. This is a Korean design issue on their vehicles. I learned this from a KDM performance mechanic who worked at a plant in his country. Hope this helps.

Mine has this same problem I’ve changed the purge valve twice and it’s still with this problem now fuel thank won’t want to take the fuel everytime i pump I try to pump and the pump would stop

I see a lot of people saying they replaced it and then they either cleared the code or drove it around until it cleared. The dealership replaced it under warranty but it still runs very rough. The light was off but then came back on quickly. Went into limp mode. Had some misfires in cylinder 1. They replaced 2 fuel injectors. I did a carbon cleaning on all the valves. They changed all my spark plugs and coil packs. Still have a code for cylinder 1 and pending cylinder 2. :( my cars been in the shop for a month.

I got the p0441 code and replaced the purge valve, but the light came back on and the same code came back up. Also I checked the wiring and hoses, everything looks good, I just didn’t lift the car to check under. Can anyone help?

Do you have a blow off valve? That’s what was setting mine off

Did you check your gas cap? May be cracked or O-ring may be shot.

@@rvillarrealjr yup gas cap or the hoses on the purge valve can be bad too. Especially the small one on the bottom.

I looked into it and once you replace the part you need to drive around for a bit before your check engine light turns off Or you can clear it like I did.

@@blackoutbrody Quicker to just clear it with the codereader. Otherwise it could take weeks to erase on its own, but theoretically it should erase the check engine light on its own, eventually.

Just take the clip out, then release the vape hoses. And then clip it back together
