Purge plays Pudge w/ Slacks

Pudge has been a moderately weak hero for a while now because he has issues impacting fights as strongly as more reliable heroes. Core pudge, which at a time was semi viable, hasn't been as effective for a while either... UNTIL NOW
With the buffs to magic resistance on Flesh Heap, and the change to Aghs Scepter(which effectively becomes a radiance, but ALSO slow+teamfight item), AND the adjustments to the talents(allowing you to take spell lifesteal AND rot slow), you can become a walking rot machine to ensure your opponents either take a lot of damage or don't get away from you quickly.
Laning is still an issue for pudge, but as long as you play against a lot of kitable melee heroes and a terrible draft, core pudge can work for you too!
Re: Eternal Shroud, this item is primarily good for spell lifesteal, not for gaining mana back. It should not be rushed until a bit later(though an early hood is always great to reduce your Rot damage). You should buy it once your overall hp feels a bit stronger, otherwise you'll just have an expensive hood that gives you a small amount of HP back.

I'm decently sure that the "spell block to mana" portion of the shroud is not in fact why it is so good on Pudge specifically. I mean, it's a nice bonus, 'specially since Pudge can fuel it himself. But I think the main appeal is the fact that it's an upgrade/sidegrade from Hood/Pipe that also gives you *20* % Spell LS on heroes. I think people may get it to fast because they just replace Pipe with it mentally but forget that you don't get the team shielding which is imo the main reason why you'd rush Pipe.
