Depends on the size of the dots. Usually a couple of hours for larger ones

This is one of my absolute favourite colour combinations. Thanks so much for sharing your thought process , as a total newbie to this art I find that very helpful and inspiring. Is it bad form to replicate designs used by other artists such as yourself? Also, just a thought, would attaching a suction cup to the bottom of the stone as a sort of handle make the sides easier to paint?...... I found myself holding my breath as you went around the sides with the stone balanced on your fingers lol

What a BEAUTIFUL piece 💜💙💜💙💜. I LOVE that you built off the big purple dot with the triangle of purple dots…very unique. Yes I do! I use thicker tube paints mainly Liquitex and then I thin it down to the right consistency with pouring medium.

You are my top choice for a dotter! I am new to dotting, well sort of. I have always dotted but with ink or paint but the dotting was about gradation and/or mini paintings. The Mandala is a new design style for me and MAN want a learning curve. But, the way you do it is impressive as heck! I am digging into your videos now for my biggest problem, paint consistency. I finished eleven projects, some are hideous but some I can feel ok with. I have yet to make anything I want to show anyone but my husband. Fingers crossed this art style of art doesn't lead me down the path of pain. I have arthritis so I have lost the ability to do so much. I raised my only child by being a creator and most of the things I did are near impossible now. So, here is to you for helping people like me. Besides, your voice is so soothing and has such a nice lilt of happiness! Thank you!!! 💠🔯💠🔯💠🔯✳🖌

Oh thank you so much. If you are starting out DecoArt Americana is a great paint you can use straight from the bottle. Your dots won’t be raised like mine but they won’t be completely flat either. I make things more complicated by using thicker paints and thinning it down with pouring medium. I just prefer the looks of the dots painting this way. I do have a full video on how I mix my paints on long form KZbin.
