Wow, you’re correct they are super productive! It would take quite awhile to snap them, let alone blanching and freezing. Oh and picking all of them. I’d need to just plant a few plants for my needs, unless they’re going to my church.

I planted peas too late this year, all of the plants burned up. No excuses, my mistake. Lesson learned. I like peas, especially young spring peas, firm and sweet.

I was wondering if these peas are similar to black eyed peas. Never heard the name purple hull

Ann Marie Walker these peas are known by many names throughout the South. Purple hull peas, pink eye peas, and even cow peas just to name a few. They look similar to black eye peas especially when you let them stay and dry in the pods on the bush.
