a tech i’ve used for my ex7 machine build was dorumon bt16 instead of raremon because it is also black/purple, allowing me to evo in raising for 1 then immediately use supreme connection in the same turn, and it doubled as more rookies to increase consistency of utilizing the bt15 demimeras tamas to dig (if you haven’t seen a tamer yet, good players will never give you enough memory to evo/hard play a raremon then use supreme connection in the same turn, which was a real problem in my machinedramon games). the 1 cost evo deterred me from trying it in the past, but after actually testing it, it felt way better than what i expected; even if they choked you to one memory, you’d be guaranteed to hatch, evo dorumon, then supreme connection to set up your discounted machinedramon for next turn. i haven’t tested 2.0 builds yet since i primarily do my build-tweaking on DCGO, but i imagine i’d follow your footsteps and fully replace supreme connection with kimeras, since kimera does the same thing while also popping possible floodgates which previously griefed my supreme connection setups in my machinedramon games. i’d probably bump up my Dorumonbt16 since it would instantly let me use attack of heavy mobile. i can see it now; promote purple rookie, next turn evo bt16 dorumon in raising, AotHM pitching ex1 machinedramon, then drop kimera to play out ex1 machine. i’m very excited to test and develop this iteration of machinedramon for your list, i’d suggest replacing your reboot inheritable andromon with the dark masters gigadramon since it is cheap to play at 6 memory and has a decent on-play of digging for your 6s

@crimson35124 when i was weighing my options for the 1-of reboot, it was really between Andromon, BT11 Gigadramon and BT15 Gigadramon. The reason ive been hesitant to bring BT15 Gigadramon back into the list is i feel like im going to end up bottom-decking cards i cant afford to lose, whether it be Tamers, AHMD, Rookies or Kimera. The reason i settled on Andromon is De-digivolve is obviously a strong mechanic, and since my list is playing 3x Raremon now the ability to evolve into it is higher than it used to be. Between the Raremon, Syako, Tamers and other rookies i feel like i dont need to be hard-playing my ultimates too often, and when I am id prefer the on-play to be impactful to the board state more so than another digging tool, ya know? Like Megadramon EX1 is board control, MetalTyranno freezes a body, Rapid de-digivolves as well, Metalgrey has Blocker, so on and so forth. Plus, BT15 Megadramon does give me an additional dig tool as well, and while trashing Tamers / AHMD might feel bad, it can grab cyborgs if i miss finding a mega.

@eastcoastoverseer well for a list like this, bare minimum you can at least sub in Eyesmon Scatter mode! With a more dedicated purple list and more purple bodies Eyesmon is a lot less awkward since you can digivolve into it and not just have to hard-play it. Beyond that, i would have to look at the other champion options, because I feel like there are still other unexplored options available. I will say though that to make Kimera work, you def gotta make sure you have an ample number of purple bodies. When i was running Haguru over Syako getting it off consistantly was extremely difficult, swapping him in was the lynch pin that helps the combo work more consistantly. Idk, maybe there's a red body with a good on-play that can fill a similar role?... again id have to look into whats available.

This is just an idea but if you want the draw trash you can try bt15 Bakemon. It does not have the on play but the on evo and deletion gives you a draw 1 trash effect, and retaliation inherit. I use to run it in Beelstar post garuru engine hit.

Tried this out today. I managed to 2-0 a few top decks including LordKnightmon, but I also had a couple games where I saw nothing but 6s and 3s, for too many turns. Enjoyed it though.

@hugemclargetall yep, sounds like Machinedramon 😂 best we can do is play a solid number of filtering tools and hope its enough. I do like how well the deck can flip a sub-par hand around, a single Syako drawing 3 can completely flip a game if im stuck.

Ooh now this is a list I can get behind! I got some Machinedramon promos from a store event, now I could maybe use it in this list. Do you have any suggestions for a replacement to Raremon? Because that is still a pricy promo.

Eyesmon Scatter is an easy include for one of them, but the others you might have to get creative 😅 i know theres a purple Candlemon with a unique on-deletion that can draw / gain memory, but after those you honestly might just wana play Haguru/Sistermon

Good stuff right here. Also funny thing about the 0 cost machinedra play, there's actually a way to make it a +1 play but it'd take some setup. It'd need bt7 metalgrey alongside the gigadra and st1 metalgrey so that when you collide, if you run over the digimon that blocked, you'll get 1 memory off the bt7 metalgrey inherit.

Imagine running BT11 Machinedramon alongside the Kimeramon. Delete him with Kimeramon and get double the machinedramon action!

@EdwardOrtiz-t4y its a good thought, but sadly it doesnt work that way 😅 Kimera is limited to popping a level 4 or lower purple or red digimon. And if youre doing the Kimera play you may as well not bother with BT11, since the combo or cheating out Machine is already being accomplished, but with more upside and not having to pay up your vital Tamer 😅

@deadarel5388 ive tried him in black, hes alittle too clunky impo. Machinedramon needs his champs to be extremely high impact since you run so few, and unfortunately Deltamon digivolving for 3 and not having an on-play to off set it is... a tough sell. In purple where you also cant digivolve it over your rookies, i would strongly recommend against it 😅

@oreox1000 it def is, its up to you though. I chose to omit it just because if my primary gameplan is to shred the opponent's security by trashing, id rather not risk a check that can give them value 😅 if I was to consider swapping in Piercing id probably add the 4th trash effect (Cannonbee) first

@oreox1000 they wont always certainly, theres an argument to be made that piercing can push through 3 security instead of 2 which hastens the clock by a full turn, but like I said if i was going to go that route Id prob just add in the fourth security trash effect rather than piercing

@andreamagnetta984 so the BT18 Kimera/Machinedramon unfortunately arent as generically splashable as the BT19 versions, theyre designed to pretty specifically support Milleniumon. I think theres room to tinker with BT19 Machine but unfortunately it cant xros from trash and has no protection. BT19 Kimera just happens to interact really well with Machinedramon's archetype and so slots in pretty well! If youre new to the game and are looking to learn, i have a discord link in all my vids. @miloXZ well hey, now you can do it yourself with BT19 Kimera! Ask your doctor if BT19 Kimera is right for you, side effects can include playing a Mega level megazord for way cheaper than should be possible

@masterkid4878 locomon is a machine, so it cant he tucked by your level 6s! Some black lists play Trailmon since its accessible in the level 4 slot, but locomon is a tough sell when you have an option already attached to q Cyborg body
