Okay hear me out, it would be so cute if Arukenimon and Mummymon evolved into Beelstarmon and Beelzemon, specially if their Champion forms are Witchmon and Wizardmon (as a common Beelzemon Champion is Wizardmon). It would also fit the fact that Witchmon hates Wizardmon and sees him as her rival, and Beelstarmon also hates Beelzemon and thinks he's too serious. It would immortalize perfectly these 02 villains.

I always thought it would be fun if Machinedramon started out as an Agumon too, as kind of a dark parallel to Tai's. A line of Agumon - Tyrannomon - Metaltyrannomon/Megadramon - Machinedramon would both show that mechanical corruption slowly taking over, as well as making reference to Tyrannomon being the kind of "original champion" for Agumon. Also definitely think we should bring back the Cherrymon from DW1 for Puppetmon's ultimate 😂

I do feel that demidevimon -> devimon -> myotismon -> piedmon was probably intended at the time the show was made. We didn't have any of the more direct evolutions for devimon or myotismon. And it seems thematically interesting to have the villains be a string of evolutions for the same guy, except they're actually separate people. Thats a cool twist! And keeps the sense of escalation for the threat level throughout the plot. Idk it'd be like if every rival Ash ever faced had different members of the Charizard line.

I actually think for adventure specifically, Arukenimon would likely evolve from Dokugumon and Kunemon or Dokunemon keeping with the bug theme, but I really do like Witchmon and Wizardmon as a duo and it might explain the witch theming of her human form. It is odd we never got a Mega that really follows the spider or Arachne theme though. Maybe liberator will give us a character with Arukenimon as a partner and we can get a fresh line like they did for Shellmon getting Sangomon, Marinebullmon and Ryugumon

I like having Alraumon as Puppetmon's rookie. I like the idea of a plant becoming a tree to a older tree than finally a puppet. I always imagine Metalgreymon (virus) was the utlimate/perfect level for Machinedramon as well.

I know there is no "cannon" evolution in digimon but I never understood why Gigadramon isn't used for Machinedramon more often (he doesn't even have evo lines on wikis), he has that purple rotting vibe of OG Metal Greymon, and has more metalic parts. On a side note, Skull Greymon is also (at least IMO) a nice choice for Machinedramon, they have same posture/shape, and you could see someone just adding metal plates on top of Skull Greymon to make it more tanky, the only thing that would physically change is that you'd need to get rid of the horn.

There are enough similarities between the two that I wouldn't be surprised if Machinedramon was designed as a mechanized SkullGreymon from the beginning. You've got the long arms, the prominent lower jaw, the short tail, and the significantly bent knees. They both even have projectile weapons on their back.

I do like the idea of Raremon as an Apocalymon champion, but it's tricky otherwise because Rareraremon didn't exist yet, and there aren't really any other garbage digimon that aren't treated as comic relief.

When I was a kid, I thought that PicoDevimon from Adventure that was Vamdemon’s henchman was the same Devimon defeated by Angemon’s sacrifice reborn from a digitama. But, he was severely weakened having lost. That’s why I thought he was always messing with the Chosen Children. And him being Vamdemon’s henchman was kind of like a punishment for having failed.

SkullSatamon as Devimon's next digivolution works great. I always thought it's appearance in V-Tamer was a small Adventure nod (Devimon and Ogremon jogressing similar to how Devimon absorbed Orgemon in the anime)

It's never happened in any official materials, But I love Pipismon as the Myotismon Champion. It's a bat, the colors match, & even the fact that it's the Patamon Love armor is perfect. It's not quite period accurate, coming out in 2000, but It's too good to pass up. Then the rookie would probably be Tsukaimon. It's not even fully unprecedented as it fuses with Dagomon to VenomMyotismon in World Dawn & Dusk I also love the idea of DemiDevimon becoming Beelzamon. Then if we're not being period accurate anyway, may as well use Baalmon

For similar reasoning, my preference is Vilemon as a Myotismon Champion. Especially since Myotismon hates the VenomMyotismon form due to it being ugly looking, it makes it seem like Myotismon is trying to maintain a fake image of itself when it's actually more bat-like.

I think instead of having Mummymon and Arukenimon digivolve to mega separately, it'd be interesting to explore what they would become if they DNA digivolved together. Maybe they could even have a couple different forms they switch between depending on which is more forward, similar to the Paildramon/Dinobeemon situation. I'd introduce their DNA digivolution when the battle moves to the real world and eventually be the catalyst that prompts Genai to help Paildramon digivolve to Imperialdramon the first time.

Man, if they went with the route that Myotismon and Piedmon were just evolutions of the original Devimon that was beaten by Angemon, that would have been a cool idea. One of the first major villains being a depowered Dark Master that just REFUSES to die and tries to get vengeance for being so handily beaten would have been really cool. Would also better facilitate why Piedmon was arguably the most dangerous of the Dark Masters (at least I think he was). Still, really interesting video. Can't wait for whatever else is getting cooked up.

I love the lines chosen, I would suggest instead of doing monster of the week maybe just do major henchmen of the villains, Ogremon for Devimon, Phantomon for Myotismon, Scorpiomon for Metalseadramon, Mega/gigadramon for Machinedramon, Cherrymon for Puppetmon, and Ladydevimon for Piedmon. I know some of these are kind of already been covered for other lines.

I kinda felt like all the villains were monsters of the week. Even if it was a recurring character it still usually felt very monster of the week specifically because they don't have full evolution lines except for Diaboramon who did actually have a full evolution line. That's part of why Frontier is my favorite season because the main villains can actually evolve using different spirits just like the protagonists so they actually feel like proper villains not just the monster of the week.

One thing I don't think Chewmon works for Etemon in the original continuity because Chewmon originally in both story, card, and games was a Digimon he was just pary of Sukamon and was only made his own Digimon later on. As neither card gamez series one or two or Digimon World One or Two has Chewmon listed anywhere. So Etemon I'd say would be Gazimon as they were all around Etamon, then Sukamon, followed by Etemon.

Not necessarily related but im aware but i just have to put it out there doctor mummymon from ghost game should definitely have sorcermon as his champion it just feels so right at least to me On a more related note wizardmon for 02 mummymon works i mean hes really not all that evil so i think itd be cute to see a wizardmon whos silly and goofy and hey maybe the shyness the species is described with could play in imagine arukenimon and mummymon both devolved as wizardmon and witchmon and wizardmon hides behind witchmon and kinda just tries to do as hes told because he feels much less confident when devolved

I theorize that since Angemon came back, so did Devimon in the same moment and he ultimately becomes myotismon then venomyotismon during the warp digivolving arc. It's just too perfect to think they fight him as devimon, then VMmon, Apocalypsemon then Malo and then same thing if he's in digimon Tri.

You say obviously not the same DemiDevimon, but he wasn't Devimon's minion, and personally I always liked the idea that it was actually the same Digimon reborn. It has been a while, but I'm pretty sure DemiDevimon doesn't appear until after Tai and Agumon go to the human world and back, learning of the massive time difference in the process (at least I'm sure he's most active after that, since he targets the kids when they're separated). That gives him time to be reborn and evolve up to Rookie stage, and would be a great parallel with Patamon also reincarnating.

Though not cronologically viable, I always thought that there was potential in Arukenimon to Lilithmon X-antibody. Though you do have to deal with the random X-antibody suddenly appearing, but visually it kinda makes sense in my mind

I always lean into the theory about the Daemon Corps. being revived Demon Lords, so I do see Tsukaimon-Devimon, I always forget the Ultimate, but always end on Daemon, so SkullSatamon doesn't really work for me, him rather going into Barbamon, what with the staff! I also always lean into the Witchelny aspect for Piedmon as I understand that that is where he learned all of his little tricks and what have you that he pulled in the Animé, like turning everyone into keyrings, so Wizardmon, I feel, ought to be his Champion, again, I forget his Ultimate! Of course, a lot of this comes from all that Digimon Lore I caught up on during lockdown, especially when I wanted to know who all the Demon Lords actually were, going into it convinced that Diaboromon was one!
