We have a purple 3 and really notice the difference in softness of the mattress with and without sheets. You try the mattress at the store and it is great. But at home with the sheets on it is not even the same. Do you find that the purple sheets help with that?

The sheets are stretchy so it doesn't restrict the movement of the mattress. I don't know that it would make it feel less soft. Maybe the one at the store was more, "broken in"?

@@UnboxMattress it has been over a year....we actually found the same about their matress protector. The queen size mattress protector is very tight on the queen size bed and makes it harder

@@modernenergy682 I guess I didn't know the difference because I always had both on and haven't tried it in a store. I do notice that they use different manufacturers and the design can vary (even softness). Or maybe it is just the sheets and protector. I think theses sheets would make it softer but not make a big enough of a difference with the mattress protector. Or try a different looser mattress protector with it. You could also add a mattress topper (my parents do this, they are older and needed more softness).

@@CleanFreakGermaphobe thanks good to know. We don't use a flat sheet because we use a duvet and I have plenty of pillow cases. So I was hesitant to buy the entire set when I just want to try a fitted sheet...I wish they sold them separately. But I think I won't get it if you say it won't help that much :)

Very true, the only way the matress its at its best it with the purple sheets, the protector takes away the feel of purple and any other sheets dont feel the same

Yes it comes with 2 pillow cases. Twin size comes with one.

I think I wash my sheets too often or something but ALL sheets only last me like a year. I wash my sheets in cold water weekly, so I need something that’ll hold up. Do you think these are going to last ATLEAST 5yr for me? Getting tired that buying new sheets is apart of my annual list of newbies lol they’re too pricey for that 🥴

I wouldn't trust these sheets. I had the last version and they don't last as long. These may be better but it's too soon to know. Standard Textile has been in business for over 40 years and started in the hotel industry. Of course they wash their sheets A LOT. So their products are still heavily influenced by their hotel line of sheets. I like that they're the manufacturer and not just marketers. Here's our link, unboxmattress.com/standard-textile-percale-sheets these are the ones I have. They're lighter weight and soft. Not stretchy like Purple sheets though. I think they're softer than our thicker cotton sheets that we got at Target that hold up well (they're most expensive line). Not silk, just a touch (I don't like to slide on my sheets).

They are softer and more “luxury” feeling and come in more colors according to purple

@@tonpatterson839 yea, well I'm never buying anything from purple ever again. I needed a seat cushion really bad because I'm recovering from a serious spinal surgery, and they were having a bundle special for it and these sheets. That was why I was inquiring about the sheets. So I ordered the bundle, and my shipping notice said just the sheets were being shipped. So I call them to let them know my situation, and they tell me they don't know when they will have the cushion back in stock. So I tell the lady to cancel the order because nothing was on back order when I placed the order and I was just getting the sheets so I could get a discount on the cushion. She says I will have to pay shipping to ship the sheets back. Then she says she will put a rush on the cushion and it will probably be in stock before the sheets arrive at my house. So I say ok. The sheets arrive and I put them on my bed, and I call back to find out when the cushion is coming, and the new girl says they "should" be in stock in 6-8 weeks. So I ask her about the last girl putting a rush on it for me, and the new girl says nothing like that was put on my order, and there is nothing she can do about it. I was so pissed at those lying incompetent idiots. I decided to just take my 30 day trial to get those sheets as filthy dirty as I can get them, before I ship them back and cancel my order for both. But I can promise you that I will never give any of my future business to a company with horrible customer service like purple has.

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with Purple. Honestly I've never seen such bad reviews and stories like this before Covid. Now they must be dealing with staffing and materials. It's an industry wide problem. I hope you get it all sorted out. They've had great customer service in the past. I don't think this is normal.

The video goes over that but they're not as stretchy, which I like. The original streets were too stretchy to me. These hold their shape better and should last longer.

@@UnboxMattress they can blame it on covid all they want. I ordered a nest mattress and they actually got it out 4 days earlier than they said, and were polite and helpful through the whole experience. Purple has just gotten so big that they don't care about the customer or quality control.

@@kalilik892 thanks for your feedback. It's not a fair comparison to compare to a tech review with features that are clearly defined. Like what you get for a subscription. What I've learned is people don't want a lot of opinion because things like soft, stretchy, etc are subjective. I list the fabric, cost, return policy, packaging, and show them close up. Sorry you didn't find it useful.
