Purple Podded Peas - To plant, or not to plant ?

Should you plant something that's pretty? or something that's good to eat? Purple podded peas are pretty, so we decided to give them a shot. But when it came time to eat, the Thomas Laxton Peas were much better. Just my opinion, of course ;)

Grew these for the first time this year here in so California. For what it’s worth I found they did look cool, low maintenance, ours grew about 6 to 7 ft. Tall,had to be picked smaller than green ones or they were stringy, however they were very productive, taste was ok (better younger). Great video thanks

Hey Bobby! I'm really glad to see you've got some new videos. I don't think you have any idea how sorely you've been missed. Please keep up the great videos. I come into contact with lots of people through Craigslist that are starting greenhouses and high tunnels and just generally trying to provide good food for their families and I ALWAYS recommend that they check out your videos, especially your dutch bucket system and floating raft videos. Bobby, you got a T-shirt on so I assume it's nice weather there now. We have every kind of weather so we just jump in and out of the rain and wind so far. It's going to be a late garden year I figure. -16 this past winter and some of my veggies have survived in the garden so it's possible to maintain some even in the worst cold. I don't know where you find the time to plant, tend, and pick all the things you grow. My little garden is a fraction of the size of yours, not even counting the green houses and your raised beds, and some things just get behind or left out. I even do some of mine after dark too. Great job.
