I want to say that I have learned more about hydroponics watching your videos than I have in any other videos on KZbin, books, articles, websites, or seminars at conferences. I am a teacher and I have used what I learned from you to introduce a number of students to this science/art. Thank you so much for everything.

I used MHP's dutch bucket videos to grow four varieties of tomatoes on 25 buckets. I was fortunate to be given some greenhouse space on a family nursery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. The owner of the nursery told me again today that he is impressed with the production. Four households get to eat great tomatoes and there is plenty to give away to friends and to sell to nursery visitors. I am in the process of doubling tomato capacity with an objective of having year round tomatoes for the nursery to sell to the public. Everybody wins in a deal like this. I am at a loss for words to adequately thank MHP Gardener and Chris, the nursery owner. It has been an awesome experience and only made better in this "shutdown" environment because it has given meaning to our days to be able to share the concepts with others.

I started my hydroponic system about 7 years ago thanks to you...and it's still going great. I just use buckets (with baskets on top) and totes (with lids with holes for net cups)....but I don't use the pump system. I just fill containers with nutrient solution (no pearlite) and then add an air stone. I guess it's the kratky method with added air stone. No need to have a reservoir or growing medium if you use net cups/river pebbles or even gravel. Much cheaper.

Bobbie, you just made my day. glad to find you back. I started my system 3 years ago with all of your ideas, we really did well. I learned so much from you and your videos. Please keep them coming. We had our first problem with our tomatoes this year, blossom drop. we replaced our plastic with 6 mil and didn't take into the extreme heat that it produced. Lesson learned for next year. that you again and be blessed.

You have tought me so much about solid food production farming I cant thank u enough. I setup a Dutch bucket at my family friends house who is wheelchair bound and this is great. Takes so much stress out people's lives having this going in the yard. Brings so much health happiness and a good positive thing in a tough time . Not needing to stand in a line, excessive store travel...money saved... the more we the people garden around the neighborhood and eat or own...literally it slows oil consumption...reduces war...promotes healthiness...reduves pressure on 3rd world countries selling too much of there food supply to n. America..reduces need for people to leave there own countries. Brings balance everywhere. Godbless

Hi Bobby, another great video of a job well done. i finally built my dutch bucket system this year. I copied your system and have 20 buckets and a 50 gallon tank. Everything is doing very well but I have a question. Right now my plants are going through 50 gallons every 4 days, do I still use the same formula for my tomatoes every time I fill it or can I cut back some some things. Thanks for the help you've given in the past and welcome back
@mhpgardener4 жыл бұрын
What I do occasionally is give the plants plain water, especially when it's extremely warm and they are using up so much solution. I'm not much on trying to maintain an exact ph or ppm, so I'll give the plants what I think they need at any given time. Much like people who are sweating and just want something to drink, I'll do the same with plants. Remember, you can go days without food. But going without water is a big problem. Hope that helps, Bobby
