If Darnold gets to SB or wins the SB and they let him walk for McHandoff I'm done with them. I can't waste my time on a team that goes with an unproven McHandoff. I've already wasted 60 years on this team and I DO WANT a SB for the team I follow before I die.I want this kid(Darnold) to look really great al year and put all the doubters in their place. Pretty sure even if Darnold wins the SB those people are still going to want McHandoff in there. That's really stupid relying on a handoff qb who played 1/2 preseason game with nobody really playing on the Raiders. Then his durability to me is really in question also. Trade McHandoff for 2 firsts and keep Darnold. At 27 Darnold could be a franchise qb easily yet.

The thing that worries me about darnold is that there have been several “turnover worthy” plays that have not resulted in turnovers. The insane jump shot he threw to the running back that we ultimately recovered, the throw to the back of the end zone (I think to Nailor) that could have easily been intercepted, but wasn’t. He has played well for the most part, but he’s not that far off from a 4 turnovers in 2 games, which isn’t great. He’s also made some excellent throws which I’m excited about, but we aren’t going to get away with things like this forever. Hope he just keeps getting better. SKOL

If you look at Kirk's tenure here there are a bunch of those as well, and nobody accuses Kirk of being a turnover machine. Most of the time that a defender gets a hand on the ball it's a deflection not a pick. That's the cost of doing business with a qb willing to make tight window throws
