Hey, i just discovered you, but makes me smiles as your first contraption reminds me of my old redstone... In the past we were learning and our circuits were really visual, we didn't bother minimising all lines and stuff... Just making biiiig "and" doors and loong lines of repeaters to isolate flow of current like IRL cables... So fun that it's the same principles across the world :D Speaking of that... I don't believe it. I still have your cave door in my current survival world. Two of them actually (double sided). Even after I changed the facade of my base to a gothic cathedral I couldn't bring myself to change that door. I spent a few of hours trying to find the perfect position door for my needs because I had no idea what I was looking for and when I found it I had so much trouble getting it done because it was so compact. Actually got to build with sacred Redstone back in the day, this was when JL2579's server was popular. He ended up helping me out on a few builds. The most memorable one was a 2 by 2 piston door with only one sticky piston, this was back before slime blocks were even a thing. I wanted to make a 3 by 3 with only one sticky piston but couldn't come up with a good design if it's even possible at all.
