I have never watched the pro bowl, but i remember catching some of the competitions. They used to be a lot of fun. I hope that the Vikings fix their weaknesses and stop being satisfied with being good when they could be great. Enjoy your Saturday everyone. 😊

I do not want Darnold back! We have been down this road with Cousins. We Drafted JJ McCarthy to be the franchise QB and stop the mediocrity, and also secure the cap space to improve the team.

We did that for Teddy, it didn't work out. Darnold did what Cousins couldn't. He beat quality teams regularly and won more that Cousin's did over his entire time with us. He was only exposed by a culmination of a suspect line and poor playcalling. Let's run it back and see if it was an anomaly.

JJ spent his freshman year at Michigan as the back up to a guy named Cade McNamara.. Cade had a year a lot like Sam just had- won a ton of games. The team looked really good, but when they got on the big stage against Georgia, he wasn’t up for it. (Largest gap in that game was Cade just didn’t belong on the field with the rest of the guys) The next off-season was a lot of conversation of who the starter should be… ultimately JJ took over and the rest is history 27-1 national champs.

I really thought Harrison Smith would retire a champ this season as a Viking. I think he thought that too because he looked very upset after the loss to the Rams in the Wild Card round. I would love to see him back in purple but if there's a team he thinks can get him a ring, then he should sign with them.

The winning probowl team used to get really good bonuses compared to there yearly pay. That doesn't happen anymore and didn't when it was still a contact probowl game. Jerry rice talked about it a few years beck before they changed to flag football game.

I think Sam has earned the right to seek a long-term deal for good money. Tagging him for one year would take away his chance to strike while the iron is hot, and he may not get many chances in this league. The team needs to commit to JJ now, with someone like Jones or Jalen Fields as his backup. Use cap money to build the team that will become the new dynasty.
