this is my favorite stranger things video of all time and honestly I'm trying so hard not to take this song and impulsively emo-animate something cringe just so I can attempt to recreate a similar thrill of dramatics and composition with my own work as you have but frankly, thats impossible. This is actually incredible. I especially love the expressions ans poses, but specifically I loved the subtle tone shift near the halfway mark where you added the red dots to the eyes, they were such a small detail but contrasted everything around it so well and gave evil-mini-will such a sinister, eerie feeling.

ok so i completely misunderstood this video. first time i watched it, i thought it was mike vs will, then i realized they was both will, so i thought the kid curled in the corner was the one who turned into the younger version. i didn’t see them switch. now i’m realizing… this is the side of him that the mindflayer had, right?

sorta yeah!! the will curled up in the beginning is the original, while the one with the black eyes confronting him is the upside down (or the mind flayer or henry… however you’d like to interpret it!) the upside down changes into the will who went missing because everything seems to circle back to that day.
