Please forgive the novel of a comment I'm dropping here but I think this is relevant. (Also, the obligatory I'm not a lawyer thing here) I am typing this real late at night after both work and uni, so apologies if it's a little tricky to follow and rambly. First, I want to say.. Neat video! Secondly.... Whenever KZbin copyright discourse comes up, specifically when I hear things along the lines of "KZbin's Copyright System Is Broken" I can't help but think of a video made by Tom Scott titled "KZbin's Copyright System Isn't Broken The World's Is" It's a really well put together and researched video surrounding copyright that more people should check out. A takeaway point from that video which may be relevant here... (Paraphrased I'll admit) The current copyright system we have was not designed in mind with how we currently make and consume media. It was designed for big corporate entities to not infringe on each other's stuff. Having smaller independent (often) single person teams behind channels that could have the reach these massive corporations had was unheard of and unthinkable. So, when that eventually happened.... These "New Age Creators" had to work with the broken system not designed for them. Which brings in KZbin's DMCA system. Basically a work around or a patch on a patch. "Hey, you want to make a compilation of your favorite character ships in X Tv show to the music of popstar y? Sure, it just gets claimed by the company representing the parties involved they'll probably play ads on it to get some revenue from it and the content stays up. Cool, that seems fine right? Though if companies can claim videos they supposedly own the content to? What about random people? What if these random people or companies don't own said content? What if they're using this system to raise revenue? To troll? To silence people they don't like for whatever reason? To collect the dox information of these people who fight back against claims? This is, unfortunately... The part we don't have an answer for. Sure we could fight and escalate it, give out our legal information, but then what? To my knowledge no real precedent has been set for this sort of thing. Sure there was the h3h3 case in the case of commentary and mockery. But for seems like random trolls trying to get a rise out of people? I dunno... TL;DR: Copyright is wack 😂.... Though this video and art in it are pretty dope though.

As someone who was cyber stalked in the past, no one deserves that and it makes you dread the things that either being you joy or bring you revenue. It’s agonizing and can mess with your head. Some think that Dander and Purple are the same, others think they’re different but undeniably connected. The time zone evidence from the insider doesn’t compel me because the difference between purple and the insider would be 2 hours if Purple was Dander, not 3 hours. I said focus on Purple first, which I now think is a bad take. Frankly, a larger conversation needs to be had about the copyright system. If a child/proxy/troll or any idiot with a laptop can file a claim and YT takes it at face value in minutes, that’s a problem for me. The system should move slower. If KZbin and Google aren’t going to verify with the records of national copyright offices, they should at least ask the claimant for some sort of proof. If the system moves this quick, the thing that’s slow is the effort to mitigate the damage.

Personally I think a good way to prevent this type of claim abuse in the future would be needing to register a credit/debit bank card/account. And fraudulent claims should be billed to the claimer. If they don't pay then they have to deal with a real world bank going after them. It would also prevent people from using alts if they limit bank details to one per account, and prevent a troll from easily going in before they have their own bank details. As a side it would also prevent big companies from utilizing their employees as bullies, unless they have the emps foot the inevitable bill

I wanna address something about the times I spoke with Dander before all of this happened. It came to a point where I followed him he'd follow me back because this was the time Garo was even acknowledged at large in the community. So I agreed with him on that. But it was when I noticed it's been weeks, months, I think almost a year to where Dander would go on this massive tirade every single day. So I DM-ed him saying, dude I get it I don't like how Garo is getting away with how he treats his fans but you're kind of on the border of fringe obsession. A DM which I would never get a reply to. To even consider that Dander could be PYB is a stretch for sure but knowing Danders obsessive personality it's now kind of plausible. Cuz like, the whole point of this mess is attention. And then bragging about it garners more attention. This is one of those times where I really wish KZbin wouldn't act as an arbiter and an enabler of the blatant copyright abuse but it seems like they responded as milquetoast and with their typical corporate response to the situation. My god what a mess.

I'm gonna be very honest, the fact that Yeen repeatedly had trans flags in her display name almost cements that this is a troll for me. With the rise of transphobia, especially transmisogyny, in the media, I don't think it's a stretch to say that this was deliberately made to make trans people look hysterical, obsessive and crazy. The fact that she is allegedly a trans girl trying to "force" a gay man to date her really cements this for me, as the stereotype that trans people are disrespectful of other people's sexualities is incredibly common, especially from other members of the LGBT community. Even if this isn't necessarily Dander, I really do not think that this is a real person who has actual intentions. Dander was probably just picked because of notoriety, and Roblox was probably just picked because it's an easier way than having to expose your own art or use a vTuber model. The chances of this being real feel very, very low to me, but I hope that does not mean you feel invalid for your feelings. I hope you and all the other KZbinrs who were affected by this recover well.
