I’m a violinist/violist in my 20s who plays in community orchestras with mostly older people. We’re actually playing Bizet’s Carmen (the opera this piece comes from) at our next concert! Can’t wait for the day an octogenarian asks me “What my first exposure to classical music was” so I have to explain the concept of shooting a bow and arrow at two cats to the tune of Toreadors to make them fall in love with each other so I can earn enough money to buy my cat a silly hat and a toy mouse.
